A top-of-the-line Russian nuclear-powered submarine has gone missing from its harbor in the Arctic along with its rumored "doomsday weapon," according to multiple reports.
NATO has reportedly warned members that Russia's Belgorod submarine no longer appeared to be operating out of its White Sea base, where it has been active since July. Officials warned that Russia may plan to test Belgorod's "Poseidon" weapons system, a drone equipped with a nuclear bomb that Russia has claimed is capable of creating a "radioactive tsunami," according to Italian media.
The drone can be deployed from the submarine at any time and detonated at a depth of 1 kilometer near a coastal city. Russian state media has claimed the device can create a 1,600-ft. wave that smashes into the coast and irradiates it.

You bet— and the Silent Service does not comment on operations.
Our sats know as well— see: Space Force, whose motto is Semper Supra.
Always Above.
Glen Beck went more kinda bonkers about this-— “hey NATO— weren’t you watching for this to leave port?”....real simplistic thinking about asymmetric warfare. The Belgorod is not quiet.
Or, even actually exists.
Instead we have idiot captain of the USS Roosevelt putting an entire carrier strike group at risk over... covid. Docking at Guam for many weeks.
The “live action trial run” of biowarfare by the chi-coms-— this clown goes to the San Fran fag media and whines “we’re not at war with China”....
Public reveal of the “unreadiness” of the point of the spear of a carrier strike group. Which, fortunately includes nuke subs, hidden in the depths.
Trump insisted— fire this idiot. It took a lot to do so. Remember— chi-coms always testing the “perimeter wire”.
Russia’s largest nuclear submarine simply disappeared? Really? Or were the NSA/CIA watchdogs off in a doing each other?
They target: NYC, Chicago and other DNC cities.
Itâs a risk Iâm willing to pursue.
Think Krusk
I wonder what the record is for keywords on a post?
Yeah, I remember the nuclear powered missile they tried to launch a couple of years ago the blew up and irradiated their scientists and the island they tried to launch it from. Lots of dead people.
That scene cracks me up. I think it’s time to watch the whole movie again. It’s been a long while for me.
It's a terror weapon... kills a lot of people without as much radiation in the air or building damage. (I'm guessing Biden's united our enemies against us because Biden's an evil fool - destroys anything he touches) And the land can be occupied by the Chinese in a few years. One goes off on the West Coast and the message to DC is 'one is planted' on the East Coast.
We do keep track of them
This article says a nuke only releases a small fraction of the power necessary to create a natural Tsunami.
Russia would do more damage hitting the city with the nuke than exploding it in water.
So what??? They have been doing this for decades. We have been too. OHIO Class submarines are ready for orders from Xiden.
Is this an attempt to paint the Russians as the bad guys for doing something we both been doing since the 1960s?
I don’t get it.
>> We here in DC appreciate your thoughtfulness. /s
Thanks for being such a good sport! :-)
(I wouldn’t joke about such things if this tsunami torpedo was anything more than total BS.)
âActually, Broken Arrow is the code word for a lost/missing nuclear weaponâ.
Actually, A lost/missing Nuclear weapon is an “Empty Quiver”.
A “Broken Arrow” is a nuclear weapon in an accident
Not just the quantity, it’s the LOL quality!
“A âBroken Arrowâ is a nuclear weapon in an accident”
That should be, “A âBroken Arrowâ is a nuclear weapon in an accident/incident resulting in potential damage to the weapon.
Such a heinous weapon would NOT create a radioactive tsunami.
The waveform would travel from the point of detonation, the water, however, would NOT move.
The water that would crash onto the shore would be plain seawater, no radioactive particles.
The radioactive particles would have to ride a surfboard to travel with the wavefront...lol
If the water moved away from a tsunami then there would be tales of ships being swept vast distances across the seas after such events..
Propulsion would be SLOW and nuclear, but not a reactor. A reactor would make the whole thing a Rube-Goldberg device..lol
You would use a solid-state plutonium-238 battery that turns heat into electricity. Given the size of the torpedo I’d say no more than a few kw of electric energy to drive the motor... not exactly hyper-sonic.
So this enormous torpedo would chug along, very silently, using electricity to propel itself, Likely no more than a few knots at best.
If properly designed I don’t think we have anything that could track such a slow mover with a solid-state power source.
According to more than a couple of sources, the US has lost at least 6 nukes over the years:
