Admitted socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said that America needs more immigration because young people are simply not having enough kids.
Citing the “burdens of capitalism,” Ocasio-Cortez issued her defense of unfettered immigration in an Instagram post this week, saying young people simply cannot afford children in this economic system.
“There are quite a few countries that are really struggling because young people, under the burdens of capitalism and living in a society that is increasingly concentrating wealth among the rich, we’re not having kids. Or we’re not having kids at the same rate,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

My friends she has a point. Look at the Asian tigers over the last few decades. Fewer kids. Rich get richer and the poor get children. Does this mean we need more poor people to do the work? Mexicans are ready-made.
This is known as “crony capitalism”, which has about as much relation to real capitalism as a dragonfly has to a real dragon.
When the winners and losers are pre-selected, there is really little incentive for commitment to the next generation.
The only thing wrong with their/our fertility rates is our governments. They have made having a family unaffordable.
More poor illiterate immigrants simply increases the burden.
