A popular comic strip has been canned by 77 newspapers after its creator Scott Adams started incorporating anti-woke plotlines, including a character black that identifies as white.
Adams' much-loved 'Dilbert' comics have been in circulation since 1989 and frequently poke fun at office culture, but he announced he was sensationally dropped by publisher Lee Enterprises.
The media company owns nearly 100 newspapers across the country - including The Buffalo News, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Arizona Daily Sun - and has been publishing Adams' jokes about the corporate ladder for years.
One of his most recent controversial comic strips included a black worker, who identifies as white, being asked to also identify as gay to boost his company's environmental, social, and governance ratings.
Dave, his reoccurring character, replies: 'Depends how hard you want me to sell it,' before the boss responds: 'Just wear better shirts.'
Adams, 65, is believed to be worth nearly $70million - a fortune he amassed thanks to the popularity of his characters, as well as his non-Dilbert related works.

Absolute genius.
Communists have no sense of humor.
I enjoy his daily zings. My wife sends them too me after she laughs for a few minutes.
I think this is fake news. Leigh Enterprises owns the newspaper in Richmond and it dropped three full pages of comics and now is only printing 1/2 of one page. This happened about 10 days ago. Dilbert is still available on the newspaper‘s website comics page.
I am shocked that there are seventy-seven newspapers in the United States. Adams is brilliant and doesn’t need newspapers for an audience.
Everybody be picking sides. This won’t end well.
Boycott those advertising in those 77 newspapers. Financially destroy them.
Woke leftists, like the devil, cannot tolerate being mocked.
Adams said on Twitter that the 77 newspapers is one distributor, but also said it was a “substantial” piece of his business.
Insert eye roll here. I used to collect Dilbert comics to adorn my cubicle walls.
Leftists: THAT’S NOT FUNNY!
What does ESG stand for?
What does ESG stand for?
I had to look it up. Environmental, Social and Governance.
Still don’t know what it means!
I had a boss who banned us from putting up Dilbert comics on our cubicle walls. He was convinced we were mocking him and upper management. “Nah!” we said “They’re just funny!”, so he relented since he really wanted to be liked. He was a combination of David from “The Office UK” & Michael from “The Office USA” that is weasely smarmy & dumb!
Of course we were mocking him and the rest of management.
Or 🇨🇳
It is like a social credit score for companies
Yeahhhhhh.
I am old enough that I hang on - and still pray that Americans will NEVER submit to ESG....
even when I fear that so many already have.
Dear Lord, please - give us strength.

Eons ago where I was stationed in the Army we had a bulletin board in a hallway outside the operations office. Unofficial postings began to appear periodically with anti-military themes, making fun of the extremely poor quality of our leadership.
That leadership responded by prohibiting unapproved postings. Next thing you know people were even posting socks on the board. I'm not sure what the experience of others was, but the morale was pretty low where I was.
The most entertaining postings were signed, "Midnight Lurker". No, it wasn't me. We had plenty of guys who it could have been. Never tried to find out. Didn't want to know.
