Developing: Baghdad collapsing as US embassy allegedly evacuated amide reports of gunfire casualties [VIDEO]

In a video eerily reminiscent of both the disastrous, chaotic pullouts in Kabul and Saigon, unconfirmed footage suggests major evacuations are taking place in Iraq’s capitol city after the Green Zone was allegedly breached by gunmen.

ZeroHedge was early to the story, reporting:

“Days of pro-Muqtada Sadr protests and unrest have reportedly resulted in Baghdad’s high secure Green Zone being breached Monday, placing international diplomatic missions and foreign embassies under threat.

AFP is reporting that an exchange of gunfire has been observed as dozens or possibly hundreds of supporters riot, with police using riot control measures like water cannons to repel an attack on the Green Zone. There are unconfirmed reports that the sprawling and iconic Iraqi Republican Palace has been forcibly breached with protesters inside.”

The question American citizens should be asking is why we have been spending trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of American lives on undeclared foreign wars which have done nothing to improve the safety of the homeland. American citizens should also ask why the government is permitting and facilitating an invasion across our southern border which is fundamentally changing the nation.

A question for both democrats and republicans. A topic we SHOULD be able to agree on as a nation and throw all the bums out of office, which is why they work so hard to keep this country divided.

Qatar is 800 miles away and we are playing Iran. Yeah, nothing could go wrong there.

It was confirmed (White House) we were NOT evacuating which means we ARE evacuating.

Maybe we are attacking in the other direction. 🤪

While Ukraine focuses on Kherson and are ground to a halt, the Russians focus on taking Kharkov. Also, with this one in Iraq, it appears that the IRCG, Russians and Chinese are involved.

Next embassy after Iraq is the US embassy in Kiev.

That is completely irrelevant to what is going on in Iraq right now.

Doha is pretty nice and it’s peaceful. If anything happens at the soccer game, it won’t be because of Mookie al Sadr’s “withdrawal from politics” in Iraq.

Thanks. People forget how truly evil and destabilizing to the world was Saddam Hussein. (Thanks again for all the work you did.)

Folks...

Most likely not what you think. Even if it’s Iran that is meddling, backing Sadr (what we will claim) you need to realize Iran is in close ties with Russia.

Outside of our fortress in Europe, Japan, Australia and South Korea, the world is far more unstable than most think.

When we decided to screw with the Russians, there were going to be consequences.

We just choose to ignore them.

I would not be surprised to read about a Verba bringing down a US helicopter there in the near future. What goes around... Now it’s our turn to eat...

Screwing with the Russians like we did, will have GLOBAL security and economic implications.

And it was all for a gamble where we thought we could make the cost too high and basically lie and cheat (Minsk agreement) regards Ukraine and still make them a NATO member despite what we promised and Russia has stated is a “no go” for them since 1994.

IMHO- the Biden administration was looking for a quick victory where they can point towards some accomplishment other than Afghanistan. Ukraine was a gamble and politically expedient (EU and US economic interests want this), and it too was a colossal failure like Afghanistan, only we do not see it such nor does Biden get the full credit he deserves.

That’s neither his idea nor new.

That was the backup plan for when Iraq fails.

Cut our losses and slavage what we can.

Sad story, Iraq. They had the ingredients for success: pre-existing bureaucracy, infrastructure, something to support an economy, more secular, world open (many Iraqis had been to Europe and N. America pre 1991 war), and less tribal, 60% literacy rate (high for that part of the world). We just didn’t follow the baking instructions (our political process) and we botched it all up.

Thanks. It sure was an experience. I know you visited there during the wild days too.

Yes, Saddam was horrible. I heard personal accounts from people that chilled me to the bone.

And I think it was around early 2006 that Iraqis finally started expressing opinions without looking furtively around before saying anything.

Your work helped immensely.

My trip to Kurdistan with the Gold Star parents in 2006 was like a field trip. Erbil was very peaceful back then. Heavily armed and protected but peaceful.

I only saw one bad guy--in a village during a day trip. He was in an alley, wearing all black and had a beard. His dark eyes were smoldering with murderous hate when this America spotted him before he ducked out of sight.

But the Kurds had control then. The terror attacks there came later after Obama took office.
