The daughter of an ultranationalist Russian ideologue believed to have had a strong influence on Vladimir Putin has been killed in a car bomb on the outskirts of Moscow, according to multiple media reports. Darya Dugin, daughter of Russian political commentator Alexander Dugin – dubbed “Putin’s brain” – died when the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving was ripped apart by a powerful explosion about 20km west of the capital at around 9.30pm local time. The blast occurred near the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy, according to Russian media sites Baza and 112, and state-owned Novaya Gazeta. Witnesses said debris was thrown all over the road as the car was engulfed in flames before crashing into a fence, according to reports. Emergency services said there had been one person in the car and that they died at the scene. Andrey Krasnov, a friend of Dugina and the head of the Russian Horizon social movement, confirmed the reports, according to the news agency Tass. He said that the bomb could have been intended for her father.

(another article on this subject)
Not directing this at you.
And he knows this how?
Guys on our side mean well, but at times they don’t
contribute to the sense we don’t pop off on things
we have no way of knowing about.
Yeah, I admit that would push my limits.
She didn’t hold power and I don’t like to see someone who
doesn’t have responsibility for things that happen or not,
to be held accountable for things that happen.
I appreciate you mentioning that. It does broaden my
understanding.
I’m referencing the families who have lost son(s) in this
war. They may see it as an unjust war and want to strike
out at anyone they can get access to.
They are unhappy with war for directly impacting their
family.
I wasn’t addressing pacifists.
Interesting thoughts...
I hadn’t given that consideration.
I honestly don’t know if Russia’s current leaders are that
evil. They may be. I just don’t have an opinion.
I wouldn’t argue with that at all.
It will be interesting what take Russia has on it.
They may have already tipped their hand. I’m responding
without reading contemporary news from today.
I was reticent to assess blame on Zelensky until it was
proven he did have a hand in this. For that reason I
hesitated to accept that his family needed to hide.
If it is found that a radical group in Russia has taken
ownership of the act, that should clear the need to go
after Zelensky’s family.
I don’t see it enhancing Zelensky’s war situation, so it
really doesn’t make sense to me.
Thanks. In the one photo I saw, she looked pretty rough.
If she was out running her mouth and making people angry,
some friend of the Ukraine MAY HAVE targeted her.
I just didn’t think Zelensky would target here.
Thanks for the mention. That makes sense.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Hilarious...
Nice catch...
Gleeaikin, I agree, but I will say, that video was on topic
and pretty funny.
Then they should bomb the US and British Embassies or not? Why the obscure political scientist? Was anyone in the US blowing Wall Street after losing sons during WWII? After all, it was “unjust” war because of the oil embargo imposed on Japan.
The U. S. isn’t Russia, and we haven’t done some of the things
that are/were done in Russia or the old USSR. Not trying to be
anti-Russia. It’s just a matter of record.
Here is notification of the official Russian bombing investigation.
Alexander “Dugin was first sanctioned by the United States in 2015 and was the leader of the Eurasian Youth Union, recruiting combatants to fight on behalf of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, the U.S. Treasury said in a news release last week. His daughter Dugina was the chief editor of the “United World International” website that suggested Ukraine would “perish” if admitted to NATO, and was also sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury in March.
The U.K. Government also called her a “frequent and high-profile contributor of disinformation related to Ukraine” when it sanctioned her in July. “Dugina has therefore provided support for and promoted policies or actions which destabilise Ukraine or undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine,” it said in a statement.”
So both father and daughter had been sanctioned by the US, the UK, and presumably by Ukraine. Anyone of those could have hired a contract, or Russians who have had family murdered or killed in useless fighting could also have a good reason. I wonder about relatives of some of those super wealthy Russians who committed suicide/were murdered(?) along with their families this past year. Three wives and 3 children were brutally murdered with knife and axe. You can buy a lot of high tech murder with the kind of money some of these victims had. My guess is that the probability it was Ukraine is relatively low, given the other enemies.
Glad you liked it, but there were 3 videos, which one? After seeing all the tit for tat informationless back and forth in this thread, I was hoping to elevate the discourse.
Give it a decade.
Yep, the US did worse. The Russians understand the motive behind the Ukrainian war, Iraq war was totally under a false pretext
The one where the mobster sends his wife out to start the car.
I took it as a joke. Must have been a clip from a movie.
Okay, then we agree to address it in a decade.
Actually it wasn’t, but I’m not going to spend another decade explaining it to folks.
