The daughter of an ultranationalist Russian ideologue believed to have had a strong influence on Vladimir Putin has been killed in a car bomb on the outskirts of Moscow, according to multiple media reports. Darya Dugin, daughter of Russian political commentator Alexander Dugin – dubbed “Putin’s brain” – died when the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving was ripped apart by a powerful explosion about 20km west of the capital at around 9.30pm local time. The blast occurred near the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy, according to Russian media sites Baza and 112, and state-owned Novaya Gazeta. Witnesses said debris was thrown all over the road as the car was engulfed in flames before crashing into a fence, according to reports. Emergency services said there had been one person in the car and that they died at the scene. Andrey Krasnov, a friend of Dugina and the head of the Russian Horizon social movement, confirmed the reports, according to the news agency Tass. He said that the bomb could have been intended for her father.

Another source alleges that Dugin was supposed to be in the car that blew up, but he made a last second decision to travel in another vehicle. Cannot confirm, however.

"Darya Dugina"

The females of a Russian family usually attach an "a" to the patronymic.

Did he switch cars because he thought he was in danger, and, if so, why did he leave his daughter in the car if he thought it was dangerous?

Could just be a angry member of the Oligarch crowd that wants to trigger changes in the government. Doubt this will be the last of such attempts.

Sorry to hear of the young woman’s loss of life.

I know things like this happen, but I don’t like the penalty
to be exacted on the innocent relatives.

Dunno - all I have is this from the Slovak military:

- V Moskve vybuchlo auto, v ktorom sedela dcera Alexandra Dugina.

Doesn’t Zelinsky have a daughter?

Some guys think they are untouchable.

He may not have had any worries about such an event.

This is going to hurt.

The Grauniad (The Guardian) is so named because of its legendary proclivity for typos.

I’m just saying, there will be a perception the Ukes did it. Likely that they did. But either way, if I was Z I’d get her somewhere very secret and very protected. Especially if he knows he did it. Do you not agree?

I’d judge her at risk even if Ukraine didn’t pull it off.
It’s obvious his family will become targeted.

1. We don’t know this wasn’t a Russian who was upset with
the war. Why should Zelensky’s family be targeted if that
is so?

2. This was not Putin’s daughter. Why would you seek to
target the Ukraine president’s family?

Sounds like a threat and escalation against Putin and Russia by the deep state.

The other day Putin was talking about how to eliminate the US government would require a united effort by the States.

It was probably Ukraine. But even if it wasn’t, and Dugan is as radical as people say, and Z had a daughter… she should be in some serious hiding. And no communication… like witness protection level.

Common sense. This war is getting nastier. Can you not see that?

It is not likely that the Ukraine did it.

It is a possibility, and probably has less weight than a
Russian having been upset with the war and doing it.

Russian families are upset with the loss of their loved
ones.

Zelensky would have reason not to have done it, because he
has vulnerable family members also.

It most likely wasn’t the Ukraine.

This would be a serious ramp up of hostilities, and it’s
just wrong to speculate that it was.

You don’t know that. None of us does.

Sons of Russians have been lost. Some folks may think this
was very appropriate to take this guy’s daughter.

I’ve said I don’t support it, and I don’t. I think it was
wrong to end her life.

Ok, then Z should send his kids on a picnic tomorrow for all I care. But I wouldn’t if I was him.

Ukraine would do it for the sand reasons they shelled Donbas for 8 years.
They would do it just to hit a guy they blamed as an architect of the war. Renege, they were going after Dugan, not his daughter.

I’m just saying what I would do if I were captain T-shirt. Even if I were innocent of the crime.

And it’s not wrong to speculate. It was either Ukes getting their Nazi on, or someone in Russia with money and skills. That doesn’t add up to bereaved family member. They don’t have the intel and skill.

It’s Government or mafiosi.

We all have our own thoughts on who could have done this.

I have mentioned an alternative because someone out there
was already sure the Ukraine had done it. Otherwise I
would not be posting any theories. It’s merely too early
to tell.

As for Zelensky’s kids, it would take a real low-life to
target them.

I’m all for punishing whoever was responsible for it.

If that turned out to be Zelensky, I’d be down on him
for it.
