Most Americans are not worried at all or not too worried about contracting the Chinese coronavirus, even as public health officials warn of a “resurgence” this fall, a poll from The Economist/YouGov found.
The survey asked respondents, “Taking into consideration both your risk of contracting it and the seriousness of the illness, how worried are you personally about experiencing COVID-19?

Colds and flus are still capable of killing susceptible people.
I still get out of a kick of the families who go out together and put their masks on together. Saw four of a family sitting in the same aisle of an airplane two months ago - they took their masks off the same time to eat and put them on quickly when they were done. Weirdos.
It looks like Monkeypox will have be the excuse for Democrats to find ways to cheat in November.
.......”nearly everyone is about as worried about it as they are the common cold”......
I think so as well...and there are treatments for covid now. I know folks who’ve treated it with over the counter meds.
Pre-fall I make sure I have day and night meds on hand for colds and flu symptons. Part of preparing for winter months.
BTW I also know of people who had all the covid shots but refused to believe they had covid and are still coughing months later...
A biden voter.
I was never worried about it. I knew it was all a scam pretty early one. Video after video of empty hospitals. Dancing Tic Tock nurses. Empty hospital ships.
Please describe what made it feel different and unnatural.

531 people died from Covid yesterday. How many from the common cold?
‘531 people died from Covid yesterday.’
needs a citation...
“from” or “with”.
A VERY important differentiation.
How about all those much-anticipated “resurgences” that never materialized? The bottom line is that people are ignoring those warnings, and rightly so.
Oh Bullshit!!! As lightman said in post 31, ““from” or “with”. A VERY important differentiation.”
531 people may have died with Covid, some from medical protocols that would have killed them no matter what problems that they started out with, and others whose time had come for various other reasons. But the numbers being thrown around have little if any relationship to reality. Can you find me a list with the names of the 531 people who “died from Covid yesterday”?
My brother-in-law supposedly died “from Covid”... he was on hospice care for an inoperable brain tumor and was never tested or had any symptoms of covid that we were aware of. For some odd reason the doctor and hospital called it a Covid death. Was there a financial incentive? Yes.
