Alec Baldwin and Rosanna Arquette are among a number of celebrities who have been slammed for sending thoughts and prayers to Anne Heche after the A-lister’s high-speed crash into a Mar Vista house while allegedly drunk.
Baldwin took to Instagram on Saturday to send “my best wishes and all my love” to Heche, who is reportedly in stable condition in a hospital after suffering severe burns in the incident. According to a statement from the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took 59 firefighters more than an hour to access, confine, and extinguish the “stubborn flames” caused when Heche’s vehicle slammed into the two-story home, “causing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire prior to LAFD arrival.” Heche was pulled out of the burning vehicle in critical condition.
She is now stable, according to a statement from Heche’s friend and podcast partner, Heather Duffy Boylston. “Anne is currently in stable condition. Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time,” she said.
In his Instagram video, Baldwin says: “Anne is an old pal of mine. There’s not a lot of women I’ve worked with that are brave in the way that Anne is brave.
“I love you, Anne, I love you and I think you are such a talented person. I hope everything is OK, I hope you come through this. My heart goes out to you. I’m sorry you had this tragic thing happen to you, and I’m sending you all my love.”
He then asked: “'Everyone please join me please in sending their support and love to the wonderful Anne Heche. Thanks.”
In response, many took to the comments to suggest that the focus should be on the occupant of the house whose Heche’s car slammed into.

I see nothing wrong with his statement and you can’t say anything on the internet without drawing crap.
Yup. Just one of those random things. Coulda happened to anybody. Anybody that got drunk and drove a tiny little car into things until it burst into flames.
Are you kidding me? “I’m sorry you had this tragic thing happen to you, ...”
What? She was in a tornado, flood, earthquake, attacked by border jumpers, antifa -Fascist Ants, assaulted by a bear, bitten by a coyote?
No. She drove slobbering drunk in an apartment building and then drove away to kill a house.
I am so tired of people who scream about how hard they have had it when there are so many more who went through that and worse who work at being decent people.
Her insurance company will sort it all out. House will be repaired and family can stay in a nice hotel while it happens.
“We’re sick of your ‘thoughts and prayers’. Time for action.” Heard that a while back from these assclowns about something.
… it took 59 firefighters more than an hour to access, confine, and extinguish the “stubborn flames” …
Tesla?
A lister? Not even sure she’d make the B list.
“ I’m sorry you had this tragic thing happen to you,” shows his perspective on bad things that occur. The tragic thing didn’t happen to her; she caused the tragic thing that happened to the homeowner and herself.
“Her insurance company will sort it all out. House will be repaired and family can stay in a nice hotel while it happens.
Except for everything that homeowner lost in the resultant fire that cannot be replaced. You were being sarcastic, I know.
Her mother is a Christian who helps people convert away from LBGT crud.
I respect that she is wanting this, and it is not wrong to pray for such a sinner.
Given the price of LA real estate, plus the cost of repairs (LA has building codes that require all repairs to be made to *current* code and indeed some repairs - especially electrical - trigger entire house rebuilds), her insurance policy may *not* cover it. Additionally, it sounds like the ensuing fire destroyed the house.
When someone like Alec Baldwin asks for “prayers” it does raise my hackles a bit, like Nancy Pelosi talking about God on one hand and advocating murder of the unborn on the other.
But I don’t have any issue at all praying for the likes of either Alec Baldwin or Anne Heche.
He needs it because he is a POS, she needs it because she is suffering.
They wouldn’t pray for me, but that won’t stop me from praying for them.
Non-electric Mini Cooper, actually.
you mean a nice hotel with homeless people doing drugs and turning tricks next door? I mean, this is CA after all!
Sending thoughts and prayers is just fine and maybe they do some good, maybe they don’t. To me sending prayers is like give a couple of bucks to a wino on the street, maybe it helps, maybe it won’t, most folks with dire issues aren’t just a prayer or a few bucks from turning it all around, I’m sincere about the prayers and I don’t care what the wino does with the money, they are both mine to give freely. Remember the quote, “There but for the grace of God go I”
I notice this crash is getting a lot more media coverage than the one from a few days ago in LA that killed 6 people.
I suppose you’re right, but I find it interesting that the same group of people who slam “thoughts and prayers” after mass shootings suddenly find them appropriate. And apropos of little else, I always wonder who it is exactly that leftists pray to. The only Higher Power I can think of they might recognize is george soros.
Most people don’t carry coverage that will take care of the full price of that damage. Heche was driving a Mini Cooper. She might have only had minimum required
It’s calculated. If you want loyalty give loyalty. He needs peers speaking up for him. He was being mercenary not kind.
