Secession/divorce of red states from blue ones is much better than nukes-no sense in destroying historical buildings like the muslims do-and none of that nasty fallout to ruin everything and kill people-red state reps/congresscritters can just pick up their toys and go home-leave the resulting chaos to the libs/socialists, then hide and watch while they run out of OUR money-and their socialist paradise crashes-our capitol could be in St Augustine, Fla-oldest city of all-but congresspersons have to stay in a designated luxury condo complex while at work-not a personal mansion. The pentagon would function better if it was located in West Texas, too-plenty of places to train but no way to interact with congress without supervision-training in the desert and mountains would get rid of the trans, fat, snowflake recruits in a quick and economical way...

Here’s what I don’t get… From the get go here on FR and elsewhere (Cruz, Gaetz, Boebert etc) there was a strong voice saying this is ANTIFA or FBI agents and not Patriots up there and yet Trump says he “loves them”, they’re “special people”
and to go home and they listen to him and comply once finally told after three hours to disperse. I mean like what’s up with that? Are they Trumpers or not? From what I saw from all the videos that was a very violent day there. Can’t tell me I did not see what I saw. Now we’ll over 800 people are arrested.

Did Bannon have a position in the administration on which to base a claim of executive privilege?
If he wasn’t formally part of the executive branch of government, I don’t think executive privilege applies.
Honestly, he claimed a big top show and didn’t come through.
The standard legal test is what does a reasonable person think, and I can’t see how a reasonable person would not have contempt for this Congress.

Not a legal mind or even a constitutional mind but it seems strange that an elected body can impose criminal charges. As a Canadian I would be shocked if the Parliament was able to DEMAND the attendance of an every day citizen that voted for them. I thought they served us not the other way around? Again, I might be getting this wrong, but I thought only a legal actor like the AG could impose charges?
