Ahead of the rally former President Donald Trump was scheduled to have in Arizona (later postponed due to the death of Ivana Trump), the Fox News website posted a stunning three-minute video featuring a host of Trump supporters in Maricopa County talking about ditching him in 2024 for Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
The incredible montage features a group of Arizona voters who — save for one identified as Beverly who enthusiastically backed a Trump 2024 bid — all said they wanted to see Trump sit it out next time and identified DeSantis as the person they want to take over the party.
“I like what he stands for; I like what he does,” said one voter, identified as Jeff. “But he upset too many people, and he upset them really bad. So I don’t think he’s good for the party.”

Remember Trump’s poll when ran then bada bing happened.
Maybe.
I love to see Trump attack and skewer these snakes and I want to see how well DeSantis attacks and how thick his asbestos suit is when he is attacked by the vile Left. I want to see if DeSantis is the man for the job in 2028.
Let’s not play the democrat/liberal press game...
There’s plenty of time between now and 2028.
yup, then spend the rest off their money trying to de fete him as an evil republican...
If he chooses to run for re-election in 2024, he'll have to earn my vote--and focus on winning, on clear goals, that he'll take time to accomplish. If he cannot make the case, which should be easy after our experience with Biden and Harris, then that is on him.
We must pick a winner--Trump or whoever. We're not Kool-Aid drinkers, at least I'm not, so don't try and force that here on FR.
Look at illegal immigration--to kick out 30-60 million would take a big effort, Trump did not even get a start on that. He continued to issue work permits to those let into the US, a big lure if there was ever one. There were no round-ups around the country, never more than a trickle left. He claimed to hold countries accountable, but still traded and supported enemy India even when it dumped cheap labor on us and refused to take back deportees. H1Bs continued without stop--when Covid shut us down, they should have all been deported, absolutely none were. That is on Trump.
I'll support Trump if he runs, if he is clear on what he'll do and if he'll actually do it. Too many promises were ignored during his first term and everyone wants to make excuses for it. I'm tired of excuses.
Another thing, those presidential debates—how about some conservative or moderate moderators? Don’t even accept a stacked debate, no more Brazile and others. Better to skip the “debates” than participate again in that BS.
Yes its a game they play. To see a news organization like fox get so involved in that game tells us all we need to know about fox. And yes I what I see all the time is that many people here are very gullible and fail to recognize that they are being played. It is not about which candidate one likes. It is about allowing themselves to get played.
“....too cheap to hire good attorneys ...”
I don’t think he could get them.
I seem to remember reading about top attorneys getting threats from their respective law firms if they took up Trump’s election case.
As far as Trumps being poor with the picking of staff. Yes & no! Rats immediately fire all the US attorneys, and almost all agency heads from the DNI down to Fish & Wildlife. Then execute a plan to put their people in place below the agency heads as far down as they can get away with. GOP administrations rarely do this if at all. Trumps apparent naivety regarding the professionalism of the bureaucracy was worse than the average GOP administration but not by that much. Trump or any GOP’er administration needs to be as ruthless as the Rats are in putting their people in place. Professionalism in the bureaucracy died long ago. Key event was JFK’s EO allowing government unions and LBJ codifying it into law.
Not trying to force anything. We are engaging in discourse, which is what this site is for.
Nobody called you a Kool-Aid drinker, so don’t insult people by slyly insinuating that if they prefer Trump over another candidate, that is what they are.
You vote for who you wish.
Just be clear, this is what the enemies of this Republic want you to do. You can deny it, but if you do, you aren’t seeing clearly. That is exactly what they want. So do all you can to get your candidate elected, work on his campaign if you are the type to do more than keyboard warfare.
You may be tired of excuses. That’s fine.
I miss real results like a 3% GDP, low inflation, low unemployment, peace in the Middle East, hard line on China, withdrawal from useless climate and arms accords, initiation of building a wall, and telling the Left to go pound sand on a daily basis.
All this with both hands tied behind his back and even his own party helping to inhibit him, and even persecute him. So, Trump didn’t end slavery or give women the right to vote.
I don’t demand perfection, and I appreciate results in context even if others don’t. I have lived long enough to see both types.
Stop.watching.Fox.Snooze.
So Deep State has given up on its attempt to rehabilitate the last, best enemedia asset it burned on Election Night...
Goody.
Exactly so. I don’t trust any of them for anything. Period.
This is no game. We’re in a war here for our freedom from government coercion and for recovering our Free Constitutional Republic.
Now when the Left attacks, FINALLY we have a Patriot in Trump who attacks back AND WINS. DeSantis needs to show the same relentless readiness, willingness, and ability.
Do we even know whether DeSantis is running or not?
excellent analysis ...
Others have indicated that he has privately indicated that if Trump runs he won't challenge him, which would be both patriotic and intelligent in my opinion.
But that is not been positively verified that I know of.
But it isn't for lack of trying, the media egging on this idea. And make no mistake, that is exactly what they are doing, and we shouldn't fall for it.
I trust most conservatives can think this scenario through to its conclusion. When CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, ABC, NBC, etc. all have articles nearly every other day working this thought up, it isn't an accident.
DeSantis always has nationwide impact as Governor of Florida, as he influences the other Governors, in a way, he can actually wield more influence as Florida Governor than as President.
I hoped I would speak for many on this forum with that post. I know my opinion isn’t held by everyone, but having watched the Left for over half a century on this, I think I can see them telegraph their moves, and we should be cognizant of it.
I won’t disparage DeSantis supporters for their view, but experience does tell me that I don’t think they are paying enough attention to the media dynamic that is bringing this “issue” to the fore.
And if DeSantis completes two successful terms as Florida governor, he is an absolute shoo-in in 2028.
The risk is if he runs in 2024, and loses, he may never get another shot.
