Netflix is preparing for yet another wave of layoffs as the streaming platform continues to grapple with plummeting stock values and tanking subscriber numbers.
The Los Gatos, California-based streaming giant, which employs 11,000 staffers, is expected to notify those impacted by layoffs at the end of the week, Variety first reported.
It comes on the heels of a previous downsizing at the company prompted by the company losing 70 percent of its stock value since the spring.

Let them peddle their kiddie porn on Only Fans with the rest of the pervs.
And we get greenlit asap, esp. when we pretend we’re a buncha commie fags.
So you produce AND act - a multi-hyphenate? ;)
Cancel Netflix. Stop funding our own demise.
Cuties should have been last straw - amazingly relatively few people still even know about it. Then of course all of the porn they insert into “mainstream” programming.
Yes - many free services now with programming better than this stuff they peddle - and they only make money off the things you watch, not just blanket cashflow to produce trash even if you don’t watch it. As well as the old trusty antenna with more and more DVR options, paying for TV is becoming increasingly a waste of money.
“...reveals it shed nearly 200,000 subscribers...”
NO, the subscribers shed nutflecks is more like it.
TUBI does not turn the volume up when the commercial comes on.
Well, you know what they say about getting woke. No more Harry and Meghan and Barack Hussein, though, man, that's going to be tough. My white guilt is gonna overwhelm me.
I dropped DISH about a year ago. I seriously don’t miss it at all. Hardly anything on there to watch plus to get hit up with all the commercials.
I remember someone here saying that, ironically, if NetFlix would have put out 2000 Mules, it might have saved the company.
It’s currently sold out on Amazon and was #1 for DVD sales for about 4 weeks.
Very true. You just have to sit through a few commercials and I'm okay with that. Much better than paying a flat monthly fee only to find yourself watching only a few hours a month.
A year ago we cancelled Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime. Seven years ago we cancelled cable. All we have now is broadband Internet and a Roku. With the Roku, you have access to hundreds of free channels, many of which are supported with advertisers.
I just cut the cord with directv after many many years.....I now have a streaming service that replaced it....it sure ain’t free but it’s an upgrade from the dish.
“Get woke, go broke. “
Also go dirty and go broke except dirty seems to sell.
So I guess Meghan markle got her money up front for Pearl and all her other things she was suppose to do with them?
Tubi has Heartland for anyone who wants kid friendly viewing or loves horses
that free tv on Amazon has Magnum...who will forever be my pretend college boyfriend. He was so hot and sexy.
More has to do with the inflationary economy and competition from other streaming services than about being woke. Because Netflix was woke for years prior to Biden cheating and no one cancelled then.
I steal my son’s account. And no there isn’t a huge amount of gay content. At least on the account I use. What I have noticed though is that a lot of shows and movies that used to be free have been bought up by a myriad of start up streaming services. Each expect you to sent them a monthly fee. There is no way I would pay for content that used to be free on Netflix and Amazon. They can KMA.
This started out with “Cuties” which had preteen girls twerking and dancing sexually.
I finally cut netflix. I watch very little tv or movies, and I have found most of the time I can rent what I want to watch. The only problem is there are a couple TV shows I like where the new business model is coercing you to subscribe with the hope you will forget to cancel. So if I want one show I have to have hulu. If I want this other show I have to have starz…and the big problem is now most seasons are like 8 episodes, so just 2 months with 2 or 3 years wait between. I would rather just buy the series or episodes on demand.
So did we. I miss Liz Wheeler when she left OAN.
I stopped watching after cuties.
