UPDATE!
I talked to my dad today. The VA is still looking for an available short-term rehabilitation facility, but they have moved him out of the Covid unit. He sounds well and alert.
He worried us for a few days, because he was calling everyday for over a week - until last Thursday. Today I learned that the VA staff had lost his phone charger, and his phone battery was depleted. I brought him two more chargers.
Anyhow, all is well - just moving at a snail’s pace.

Thank God that he seems to be recovering and I pray that the VA can find a place for him in a rehabilitation facility very soon. He is missed by us all!
