Just in time for celebrating The 4th of July.
Will be sending up some bottle-rockets in celebration of Jim's recovery from this nasty spell.
That is great to hear.. Thanks for the updates..
Very good news for all who appreciate Jim Robinson.
You probably already know the information below, but in case you don’t, and for many others who probably do not and may some day need this information this is about 20 FREE days of rehabilitation nursing care for anyone who has been hospitalized for 3 full days. In recent years some hospitals have not been “admitting” people, but just holding them without “formal admission”. Be sure you or your loved one is actually “admitted” if you think you might need this 20 day benefit.
From Google: “Medicare covers inpatient rehab in a skilled nursing facility after a qualifying hospital stay that meets the 3-day rule. The 3-day rule for Medicare requires that you are admitted to the hospital as an inpatient for at least 3 days for rehab in a skilled nursing facility to be covered.

The rahab facility MUST have an actual goal, not just be nursing care.
In the month before my husband died of Alzheimers he was admitted after collapsing to a hospital for 3 or 4 days. I had him transferred to a rehab facility with the goal of “being able to walk up stairs to our second floor bedroom.” He was able to do that, I put him to bed, he never went downstairs again, and died less than 2 weeks later.
A few months before my mother died of congestive heart failure (her heart’s pig valve was failing after 11 years) we were worrying about shutting down her care home room, and getting her winter clothes when we realized she would be dying within the year at my home. I don’t remember what the treatment goal was, but using this free Medicare service enabled us to go out of state to settle her affairs there, without trying to also find some nursing care we could afford.
Please forward this information if you know someone who could use it. Wishing you well and a homecoming Robinson family.

Hoping Jim is home and recovering well on this Independence Day.
...
Happy Independence Day, FRiends. Stay Safe; have fun.
I talked to Jim yesterday. He was alert and we talked for about 45 minutes. He had planned on being transferred to a short-term rehab facility a couple of days ago. He is more than ready to get out of the hospital. The plans are now for him to be moved on Tuesday. Hospital decided moving him on a holiday weekend was not a good idea.
They plan to schedule PT while in the rehab facility in hopes of building his strength.
We discussed FR and politics. LOL
He said he is having some pain but is okey.
Join me in praying for him being moved on Tuesday.
God Bless America, FreeRepblic and Jim.
Thanks for the update.
Thanks Amy! Continuing to pray for Jim so he can get back home!!
