The US State Department said they are aware of reports that a third American who traveled to Ukraine to fight against Russia has gone missing "in recent weeks."
"There are reports of one additional American whose whereabouts are unknown. I can't speak to the specifics of that case. Unfortunately we don't know the full details of that case," said State Department Spokesperson Ned Price at a press briefing on Thursday.
Price said the department is in contact with the families of the two other US citizens reportedly captured in the country, as well as Ukrainian authorities and the International Committee of the Red Cross, but that they similarly could not confirm reports that these two citizens were captured.
Price also said that the US is not in contact with Russia about the reportedly captured American citizens because they do not yet have "credible reason" to believe the Russians have captured them and also because Russia has not claimed to have captured them.

Captured is a blessing, many western mercenaries were whacked weeks upon entry from the Polish border- housed in the arrivals barracks- pinpoint cruise missiles hit them at 4AM, they never had a chance. Vlad’s promise to stem the flow of foreign mercenaries has been reported as successful by many non western news agencies.
That leads to many questions, one being who in the Ukie populace is passing on the information to the Ivan’s. Many are, which should raise some concern.
Why is the State Department providing services to mercenaries and their families? Previously they were providing intelligence to the FBI for mercenaries going to fight for ISIS. So fighting for Nazis is better than fighting for ISIS?

i wonder if y’all know that our great government, somehow without Congress, made a law way back in the ‘80’s concerning “soldiers of fortune/mercenaries”, i.e., those contracting themselves.
if these poor, deluded, misguided souls went to fight for the Ukraine, and in theater, were captured by Russian combatants, by rights, the state department might just disavow them.
