President Joe Biden announced Wednesday he would consider using his emergency war powers to increase gas production in a letter to oil companies.
Biden warns oil companies in his letter that “at a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable.”

So Biden creates oil shortages by stopping American production and Canadian imports and increased demand from Biden’s policy to sanction Russian oil as more Americans becoming active after Covid results in scarcity and higher profits for oil companies, none of these factors having been created by big oil, yet Biden points fingers at the boogie man, big oil, for results of Biden policies to refuse American oil production that was supplying all of America’s needs, even exporting excess that resulted in Saudi cut backs in production levels. Now he wants to force lower prices at the pump using a non-existent war to use his war powers authority. Got it. This is the definition of madness.
I wish the oil companies would buy the whole back page of the WSJ and layout step by step what a lying malicious steaming turd Biden is.
That’s a great point. Why not mandate more EV prodution and lower prices for EV’s, since oil is heathen.

We’re not at war so I don’t know what “war powers” you’re referring to. You’ve studiously avoided calling our support for Ukraine as being involved in a war against Russia.
Yes, we know actions speak louder than words but - legally - you don’t HAVE those powers, old man.
He keeps throwing around the Defense Production act like a toy. Trump used it to make ventilators and medical equipment during the onset of Covid and they screamed like hyenas. This clown invokes it every month for something new. Will that mean building another refinery??? As the saying goes, you can’t make a baby in one month using 9 women. He is absolutely clueless...and this is a thinly veiled attempt to make it look like he’s doing something.
