According to a criminal complaint, three sex assault charges have been filed against a former Two Rivers High School teacher who admitted to having sex with a pupil.
Rebecca Kilps has been charged with three counts of felony sexual assault on a student by school personnel.
A school social worker phoned a detective on May 23 after receiving information regarding a pupil having a relationship with a teacher.
The detective received a call on May 24 from Rebecca Kilps’ husband, who said he had suspicions and had checked his wife’s phone while she was sleeping. He discovered texts in which Rebecca and the victim were “talking about a future together and stating they love each other.” He went up to her and challenged her. She stated that it was a student and that they had been friends before saying “I love you” and “talking sexually.”
The 17-year-old victim told the investigator that things had “gone too far” and that things had “gone terrible.” He described how he began taking her Freshman Spanish class and continued to do so over the years. He began hanging out in her classroom after school during his junior year. They began exchanging private messages. Things “escalated” in March, he added, and “we talked more and said things we shouldn’t have.”
The victim said they had sex twice at Kilps’ home.

Except she was cheating on her husband and she was a teacher, a position of authority.

Husband turned rat and turned her in. He could have just left her, but he got the law involved. And the boy shoulda said he didn’t know a thing and clam up. But he’s young so I’ll give him a pass with a warning to not reoffend.

Why are all the female teachers that do this attractive. And wasn’t like this when I was in school.
1 - She was married and thats messed up. Good for him to find out and dime her out.
2 - Other than #1 its not a huge deal to me. The kid should have kept his mouth shut. He is 17 likely about to be 18 and she is 22. Not a big age gap. I know he is still under age. He probly won’t press charges. But won’t need to. She will do some time and never work again teaching.

The main problem was she had abused her position of authority. If the gender roles were switched, obviously it is much worse. To the guys, it's a piece of tail. But girls are vulnerable at that age.
Both sexes are vulnerable to being preyed upon by older adults. If the teacher was a man who had sex with a 17 boy, you would see what I am saying.
