There appears to be a massive Sealift Operation currently underway from the Eastern United States involving almost all USNS Ships in the Atlantic, including the USNS Soderman one of the Navy’s RORO Ships who left the Sunny Point Naval Yard yesterday heading likely toward Europe.

The M1 sucks JP8 like a sailor sucks beer on shore leave. They also have a huge heat signature you can literally cook on the exhaust grates for the turbines. If you were dismounted you had to be careful not to get behind one too close you could get burned by the 600+ degree air exiting that grate. If we send M1s the fuel hemmets should be going with them it’s like sending fighter bombers without tanker support one doesn’t go without the other.

The new RPG 32 is rated to penetrate the side armor of the M1A1 and in Iraq a couple of RPG 29s did succeed in piercing the side armor of an M1 in one case the gunner lost his leg due to the hypersonic.metal jet but the rest of the crew survived obviously it was a mission kill. So if the Russians bring their new toys its not.going to be a slam dunk even with our front line A2s as they upgraded the 32 to get past the TURK armor side kits the front armor is still believed to be only impenetrable to anything but a close hit of a KE depleted uranium penetrator. I wouldn’t want to be sitting in one when they go face to face with a T80 or a RPG 32.
You dont need any “firepower” on your southern border. All you need is a change of policy. You only need to have your border guards enforce the laws as they did in Trumps day.

The U.S.military is forbidden from domestic roles regardless. Border Patrol has to be done with the National Guard unless we declare a state of war with Mexico which is never going to happen. The border governors could order NG troops to line the borders but the optics would mean the Fed’s would federalize them and send them home can’t have Abbot doing what D.C.refuses to do. Cali nor AZ would send troops regardless NM might but without Cali and AZ on board the flows would just shift to those area’s. Our border is an internal civil conflict the us military won’t get involved.
Very unlikely any Abrams are going to either the Ukrainians or Poles anytime soon. These shipments are most likely for establishing preposition equipment for US units.
Consider that if all those weapons were to get blown up/used up, what does the US military have?
