Twelve reasons why Trump endorsed Dr. Oz: He had good reasons to put his marker down on Mehmet Oz.

In February 2022, the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee convened to interview, vet, and nominate candidates for the open positions of governor, lieutenant governor, and U.S. Senate. While exigent circumstances prevented endorsement (on the Democrat side as well) of the thirty-some candidates, contenders emerged, and a true star stood out.

However, one candidate stood out. He personally texted and followed up via text, then called and communicated multiple times. He asked questions and listened, and texted some more. He remembered the name of each individual with whom he interacted, crisscrossed the state, sometimes in a single day, and kept every speaking engagement to which he had committed -- arriving always on time and enthusiastically.

He arrived at Republican events without a retinue, typically accompanied only by his wife, Lisa.

So, before President Trump even endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for U.S. Senate, Dr. Oz had already garnered a wide and widely diverse Republican following (In Pennsylvania, primary voters can only vote for the candidates from the party in which they are enrolled.)

Many of us had never seen a Dr. Oz television show. Our introduction to Oz, therefore, was not one of starry-eyed fans groveling, nor was it groups of “wannabes” looking for a gateway to fame and fortune. Rather, our first and subsequent meeting were of equals -- professional politicos looking for a winning candidate.

There are some very good reasons there. Reason #9 might be the biggest one on that list, and it's one that doesn't get a lot of attention in the race.

Oz would not be my first selection in the GOP primary for the U.S. Senate race in PA, but I would not criticize anyone for supporting him.

I do, however, believe that he may be the one who stands the best chance of winning in November. I've posted at length here in recent weeks about why I believe that to be the case.

I would also add a Reason #13 to the list here: He came into this race with no connections to the clown show that is the Pennsylvania GOP.

I would go with my gut feeling, anyone that the Amish has endorsed..would be my inclination. People who embrace Islam, belive in a world dominion connected with a Caliphate. I.E. Ottomans.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

so who did the amish endorse in PA senatorial primary?

Never mentions if he is pro-life or his wife is pro-life. Wonder why?

If Oz gets the nomination, watch the snowflakes come out of the woodwork accusing him of sexual harassment when he was on TV. That is usually the source and there will be plenty of sharp knives out for him by liberal liars.

His “electability” will be gone in a matter of minutes.

Funny, she stated at the PA Leadership Conference that her husband and one other family member support Trump. Somehow THIS is an issue? Sounds like oppo desperation!

I think Kathy Barnette is the right candidate in the wrong race. I won't say she can't win in November, but I do believe she has a number of challenges that are nearly insurmountable. Here are just two of them:

1. Her background and prior experience are so limited that they are almost embarrassing for someone who is running for a U.S. Senate seat without ever having won an election before in her life. I've interviewed more experienced, competent people for mid-level managerial jobs in the corporate world.

2. I see no evidence that she has any appeal outside her core supporters. (NOTE: This same comment would apply to almost every other GOP candidate in the two statewide races this year in Pennsylvania.)

Dr. Oz, a Graduate of Harvard! NO THANKS I’d rather have a black lady who crawled out from under a rock, raised on a pig farm represent me. Amish people in PA are mostly going to go for Kathy... TIME to get rid of ELITISTS.

I predict she will come in at a measly 10%. The Dems tried...but just couldn't change her resume which is run of the mill.

I'm sorry....she is more social worker...somewhat like Obama...but she is clean and articulate.

Yet he has expressed and not retracted much bizarre ideation. He also holds dual citizenship and recently voted in Turkish elections. He is pro abortion. He is simply not to be trusted despite all those listed attributes.

What's most concerning about that item is that the identity of a person's spouse is a matter of public record.

A political candidate will understandably keep minor children out of the public eye, but one who hides his or her spouse usually does so for purely political reasons. Those reasons may be harmless (from a legal/ethical perspective). A good example of this would be Kamala Harris, who went to great lengths to keep her white (Jewish) husband hidden in the closet for the duration of the 2020 campaign.

I told NIKOS1121 I wouldn’t respond to his reasons.
I will likewise withhold response here while reserving a “right” to respond to you later.

No worries. You even said that in your initial post when you asked for input about "electability."

Cheers!

You are too willing to settle for less. America needs fighters for the Constitution NOW. EVERY Republican will win during this economic catastrophe, except maybe Oz. Reject Mitch!

Yes, most Oz supporters do not care about enforcing the constitution as written. They may even subscribe to the "living breathing" version touted by the left.

Frankly, I don't care about what you think. I know what a constitutionalist is and that is why I am voting for Barnette.

There’s only one reason why Trump endorsed Oz: It’s because Dr. Oz endorsed Trump in 2016 and Trump rewards loyalty.

Really? How many Constitutionalists do we have in the Senate now? A dozen? But hey, it’s just a “buzz word”. Right.
