They are illegal, deadly, and federal agents are finding them on the streets of New Orleans and Jefferson Parish.
According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, criminals are turning ordinary weapons into machine guns, by simply attaching a tiny switch to the gun.
The penny size device can turn a semi-automatic weapon into one that can fire up to 1100 hundred bullets a minute with a single pull of the trigger.

What a sad state that we have to teach that.
In my day we just bit the old one off and held the new one on until it welded itself in place.

Any weapon using a moving bolt in which is a firing pin can be turned full auto by fixing the firing pin in the extended mode and fashioning a ‘catch method for the trigger to catch the moving bolt to stop firing rounds. Kids back in the seventies were turning Ruger 1022 rifles into full auto all too easily. And even firing 22lr rounds, the aim was difficult to keep on target. Waste of good ammo, IMHO.

G18 with a shoulder stock climbs up and right due to the rifling. I can hold a 3 inch group full auto at 15 yards. Not something you do much at $20 for 50 rds.

That's two bricks of 550 .22's. That would be one heck of a clip magazine.

Well.
Try to get 1100 Hundred bullets, or 1100 even.
And if you can, how fast can you reload using 10-rd mags?
Or even if you have 30-rd mags?
1100/30 = 37 mags.

Mine is one of the first issues after the Argentinian contract was fulfilled. Thin barrel yet I still shoot it well.
Buy another. The new heavy barrel ones are great!

I’ve shot a Glock 18 before, full auto, and you’re wrong. It’s actually more controllable than that. Comparatively,m though, submachine guns are much more controllable than a Glock 18. I can draw a smiley face on the target—smile on full auto— with an MP7.

I have shot the Glock 18, too. I guess I am a ‘skilled operator’ because I kept the whole mag inside a 6” circle (paper plate sized) at about 15 yards.

"Rumor has it the device can enable the bullets to explode to."Yeah, and if my side arm suddenly started to fire 1,100 rounds per minute I don't think that would be a good thing. But hey, that's just me.

1,100 hundred = 110,000 per minute. That’s 1,800 per second! Holy Moly!!

No one carries a thousand rounds you carry 33 round extended mags Come on now Arnold carry a mini gun and boxes of ammo.
I have 32 round mags for my Ruger Carbine and mini 14s and I can get a 150 rounder for a Glock that works in my Ruger. None of which I carry anywhere but if I need them I have them.

Have you ever even shot a pistol before? Thousands of rounds over the years. Plus rifles, including automatic rifles, and yes I am proficient at keeping them at three round bursts. Your point?
