Surging Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Kathy Barnette has a history of anti-Muslim and anti-gay statements. In many tweets, Barnette also spread the false conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama is a Muslim.
In one speech uploaded to YouTube in 2015, Barnette forcefully argued it was OK to discriminate against Muslims and compared rejecting Islam to "... rejecting Hitler's or Stalin's worldviews." In comments on her radio show, she said accepting homosexuality would lead to the accepting of incest and pedophilia. One post she wrote called a transgender person "deformed" and "demonic."

"You are not a racist if you reject Islam, or if you reject Muslims, because they are not a race of people. They are a particular view. They are people that have a particular view of the world, and we have a right to discriminate against worldviews," she said. "We discriminated against Hitler's Nazi Germany view of the world, right? That was a worldview. That's how he saw the world around him. And we discriminated against it. We rejected it. We rejected Stalin's view ... of the world, right? Because that's a particular view of the world that we don't agree with."

She’s saying you have a right to reject and discriminate against people of the Islamic faith. As a group.
That’s textbook bigotry.
That will not work in a general election. Probably it doesn’t work anywhere in the modern US, but it definitely won’t work in PA.
Nobody wants Oz or McCormick, that’s why Barnette is surging.
Running “electable” RINO losers always fails.
Or perhaps you can tell us about the glories of the McCain and Romney presidencies.
Barnette is the only candidate who has a chance to win the general.
The CNN piece was an oasis in a desert.
Most of what I’ve seen on her in the media recently have been fluff pieces of praise.
We do have that right and it’s not bigotry, it’s protecting American culture and values.
If we don’t use that right we will be overrun with muslims and conquered as Europe is.

The definition of bigotry looks like this:
“obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.”
So, if you say it’s ok to reject or discriminate against a group of people (or any individual of that group) based upon their religious affiliation, you’re a bigot.
Just as it’s bigotry to reject a person because they are one of “the red hats”.
Now, it might seem like “good bigotry” or whatever that Barnette is espousing, but it’s still bigotry.
Again, that won’t work in any modern USA election. Not in PA, anyways.

I’m as full-red as you can get. But I’m also practical.
Barnette can’t win, and I want the seat to stay red.
I DESPISE the Bushie Hedge Fund Guy. Sick of his face and his ads here. Typical elitist jerk.
Still, I’d vote for him over Barnette because the Bushie guy can win the general. Or, he has a better chance than Barnette in that regard.
On the thread about her not knowing when she was a professor, Kathy’s people wanted to change the subject and focus on Greg saying mysterious college and not her saying “I don’t know when”, when she was asked when she was a professor.
The statements on this thread was brought up in a few other threads but didn’t want to listen.
