Secretary of State Antony Blinken tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to a statement from the State Department.
The department says Blinken is only experiencing mild symptoms as he has received the COVID-19 vaccine and booster.
He will work virtually for a week, in line with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, before resuming his in-person duties and traveling.

All these people in the “news” testing positive for the beer flu, and yet not dying. What a horrible disease. We must shut down the world to protect people from colds!

Not dying. Hell in most cases they are asymptomatic. The basic principle of test only those whom you need to answer a question about has been horribly bastardized.
Ok. So I don’t engage in conspiracy theory. But I will but on the tinfoil for one moment. The reason everyone around Biden is testing positive is so that when it is announced that Joe has Covid, he can be disappeared in a way to generate sympathy. He goes back to deleware having heroically fought CoVId but losing the rest of his marbles in doing so (long CoVId) and say hello to President Harris.
Alternative ending. He is whisked away. We are told he died. State funeral. 10 days of sympathy. Again. Say hello to President Harrison. Joe is secretly transported back to the Delaware basement where he lives out his dementia eating pudding and sniffing kids hair who are brought to see the old man and we, the people, never hear from him again.
And just like that, we have the first female President and the Democrats are rid of the guy with a 35% approval rating.
