A NUCLEAR world war is now a "real" danger and Britain and Nato would be a "legitimate" target, Russia's foreign minister has warned.
In a chilling message, Sergei Lavrov said the risk of World War Three is now "considerable" and must not be "underestimated".
Lavrov accused Nato forces of "pouring oil on the fire" by supplying arms to Ukrainian troops - and claimed Russia wanted to prevent a nuclear war at all costs.
In an interview with Russian news agencies, he said: "This is our key position on which we base everything. The risks now are considerable.
"I would not want to elevate those risks artificially. Many would like that. The danger is serious, real, And we must not underestimate it."
And the war hawk said Britain and other Nato countries "would be a legitimate target" after "pumping weapons into Ukraine".

Russia is incredibly good at propaganda they have the bleeding hearts on FR believing Russia. They take people’s hate of the liberal democrats to convince people it is the west fault. Russia sees a division (weak leadership) in the western country and uses it for its propaganda.

There is no doubt that we are in a kind of war with Russia. It’s called a “limited war.” As to the limits of this war, we currently think we can resupply Ukraine by land, but not by air, and that Russia will not attack the staging areas outside Ukraine.
But, what if the an unlimited war were to break out?
population NATO 947 million, Russia 144 million
GDP NATO $44 trillion, Russia $1.5 trillion
military budget NATO $1 trillion, Russia $60 billion
Russia would have absolute no chance in a conventional war against NATO; so, it would have to go nuclear and hope that a good percentage of its Soviet-era nuclear weapons successfully launch.
We would suffer huge losses. And Russia would be turned into a sheet of glass.
Putin would have to be Hitler-level of evil to initiate nuclear war. Maybe he is that evil. So, he makes the threat on the idea that he’s Hannibal Lector with nukes, to scare the west into submission. And, if this works with Ukraine, this strategy will work with Poland and whatever other country Putin decides to attack.
On the other hand, Russia can withdraw to the pre-invasion borders.
Why take the chance. We don’t have a dog 🐩 n this fight.
It’s long been an opinion (Patton most famously) the USSR/Russia was vastly overrated militarily. The frantic expenditure of resources to obtain such a massive nuclear arm shows they were correct. The true top leaders in Russia knew they were weak and compensated by nuclear weapons.
Patton should have had Ike’s position and later became C in C. If this thing ever goes even tactical nuclear his prediction will have been verified 10 fold:

That is a very good summary. Is putin crazy enough? Are his supporters that crazy?
There is just a handful of FR Putin Puffers. They all follow script and do as they are told. But it makes you wonder what kind of person would join this cult.
We, the U.S., have problems. We will address our problems in the upcoming elections. We took back Virginia last year, and we will take back the Congress this fall.

Very nice post. Wars are very expensive and Russia is a 98 lb weakling compared to NATO. They do know that hence all the huffing and puffing and bluster and bluffing.
