Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers a class on pornography in which students watch raunchy films as a group.
“Hard core pornography is as American as apple pie and more popular than Sunday night football,” the course description reads.

Hell, they were doing stuff like this in the 1970s. One unnamed university in central Arizona decided to honor its mascot by holding a screening of Deep Throat (1972).
It is an impressively boring movie. One movie-goer described it as “Wimbledon at quarter speed”. Soon the audience was chatting about other things, to a decided lack of shushing.
Many started walking out, not in rage or protest, but out of ennui. This only disappointed the organizers of the event, who were hoping for some, any, emotional reaction.
Fortunately, it did not dampen the otherwise top notch films being shown at the university, at a time they couldn’t be seen elsewhere.
Hell, they were doing stuff like this in the 1970s.
Same in the 80s. One semester, the porn class was next door to one of my engineering courses. We'd peek in on break.
How does the college justify including such trash in the curriculum??

First of all, you should care that we have an education system awarding people degrees for this kind of filth and it is considered part of an “education” to watch pornography. How do you think we got the point where teachers are grooming children in K-12 classes? This kind of moral decline among adults occurred first...the grooming is the progression of this same moral abyss.
And secondly - we’re paying for this - you think none of these people have “federally guaranteed student loans”?
Probably some response like “it’s part of a well rounded education you boomer prude!”

I have a copy of the movie at home. We watch it every couple of years. Along with “Amazon Women on the Moon”. And “Mom And Dad Save The World”.

It’s just an excuse to make students watch porn with them. I would get my money back, file a complaint and switch to another school. People need to start filing complaints against their teaching license.
The Education Industrial Complex takes kids into their ‘fold’ who can’t read at a 4th grade level because there’s money and loans and grants to milk off these kids who can’t read or write or think. So fill ‘em up with porn and grievance and basket weaving classes and add new buildings and ‘professors’ to the scam...

Yeah, a couple of phone calls - or a word or two at the country club - from key donors to the college president will do that.
