McConnell warns GOP to not take midterms for granted by nominating ‘unacceptable’ candidates

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell warned Republican voters on Tuesday to not take victory for granted in the upcoming midterm elections.

Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican, said that although the political environment heavily favored the GOP this cycle, it was still possible to “screw this up” by nominating flawed candidates.

“We’ve had some experience with that in the past,” Mr. McConnell said at an event hosted by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. “In the Senate, if you look at where we have to compete in order to get into a majority, there are places that are competitive in the general election.”

Mr. McConnell said Republicans had made the mistake of nominating bad candidates in 2010 and 2012. In both of those cycles, Republicans lost out on opportunities to retake the Senate majority by nominating candidates that were far outside the political mainstream or proved incapable of staying on message.

“Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.”

Figures. That’s the only audience he would dare poke his head out of the shell for here.

“..McConnell should stop dividing the Republican Party...”

Why should he? It’s his sworn duty as a loyal UniParty hack to do so. UniParty hacks only want those that will “go along to get along”. That way, they ALL can continue to greedily feast at the public trough unabated.

We lose races when McConnell campaigns against the more conservative candidate—even after that candidate won the primary.

Rinos like McConnell are precisely the reason why we are where we are today. A republican majority run by rinos is useless at this point in time. I’d rather that democrats stay power destroying themselves and setting the stage for massive changes in 2024 or sooner when people take to the street if things get bad enough.

GOP to NOT take is incorrect.

GOP NOT to take is correct.

Washington Times is one of our leading conservative publications.

Is it asking too much to have a correct Headline?
I shouldn’t complain, but it happens frequently.

Because of idiot RINO’s like Mitch McConnell, we will miss the super majority we truly need to reverse the damage been done, and stop the damage that will take. place in the next couple of years.

If the RINO’s would stop joining the communists, then we could truly fix things, but with clowns like McConnell in charge we will be luck if we can get 60 a seat majority. What we need is a super majority, if not then at least enough to over ride the 4 RINOs that will definitely screw us if we just get a bare 60 seat majority

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

— Communist goal #15
Joining the communists is the definition of a RINO.

Even if the GOP got a supermajority, it could not be a supermajority of RINOs or else the communist agenda keeps going forward.

McConnell only cares about McConnell . He works into the night to make sure only those who will vote to put him in charge get to come into the Senate. Trump is the first power struggle I believe Mitch is about to lose. I predict Mitch will retire rather than run again.
