Russia Is Waging a Religious War on Ukraine, and Israel Is Involved

A renewed schism in Christianity: Ukraine is fighting for its independence from Russia in the churches as well as in the streets. And Kyiv has a surprising model for its struggle for sovereignty and religious identity"

If Ukraine is ground zero in the tensions between Russia and the West, religion is ground zero in the war between Russia and Ukraine. The Crimean War in the mid-19th century was originally sold as a religious war (Russia wanted to protect Christians from Turkish persecution). Of course, that wasn’t really what the nations cared about. But it was good PR then, maybe good PR now.

When Pooti took Crimea he paraded a Russian Orthodox Icon around to several cities.

My money is on Trump to not just repeat what he did last time, but succeeding at an even higher level.

The smart money is on the Deep State pull another swicheroo at the polls. If that can't be pulled off, they will assassinate him. Now Trump sees who his friends are (not many on government). They fear he will clean house and they can't afford for that to happen.

If that can't be pulled off, they will assassinate him.I have feared the exact same thing for sometime.

What we all need to realize, is that like Scalia was murdered, Clarence Thomas could also be murdered. Then the left will own the High court, since Roberts and two of Trumps appointees are no better than Kennedy was. Can you imagine the trouble we are in if Thomas is taken out and Trump all in the same year?

We share the same fears.

Yes. I think Trump's thinking for his first term was sort of -- I need political expertise; I need to assemble of team of insiders; I need Washington elite who will be loyal to me and help me. You know, people like Mueller, Barr, Romney, Christie, Mitchell, and that sort ..."

Didn't work out. Lesson learned: There are no Washington insiders who will help Trump.

Meanwhile, under Biden, you have a slew of incompetent Progressives who don't know what they are doing. That's not good, but we see it being done, so we know that it can be done.

I'm hoping Trump chooses Cabinet secretaries and Dept heads who have spent their lives as Hardware store owners, plumbers, and auto mechanics. Their loyalty is what is needed. Will they possibly be in "over their head"? Sure. But so is Biden, Harris, Buttigieg and all the rest of that crew. But let's clean house and fire everybody at the lower levels. Be ruthless. Some plumber from Peoria would probably do it, if the President asked him to.

Heck, I'd do it. Not because of money or power but for the country and help "The Donald" succeed.

This article grossly misrepresents the phone poll done by the Razumkov center to claim that only 22% support the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate.

I’m going to show you how bad this journalism is.

These are the actual results of the poll:

34 percent say they identify with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU)

14 percent with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP)

27.6 percent, said they were Orthodox Christians but didn’t specify which they identify with.

Notice what the journalist did? He assumed that everyone who didn’t specify which they support is actually against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

There are plenty of people in Ukraine who might not be comfortable specifying which group they associate with on an anonymous phone call, I assure you. Is it really a poll or are they going to be put on some list?

Also, did you notice the name of both groups is “Ukrainian Orthodox Church”? It is not a minor chance that people under the Moscow Patriarchate correctly answer that they belong to the “Ukrainian Orthodox Church” and get ticked under the other group.

A majority of churches are still under the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, and an overwhelming majority of the monks.

I noticed the author twisted the words of the Patriarchate to make it sound like he supports violence (he didn’t), when he simply spoke out against the evil forces that want to divide the Russian Orthodox Church (many regular believers would agree with this, it isn’t controversial).

He also twisted the decision of the Georgian church as if it is political. The whole theme of the article is to twist everything about the church into something political.

He also made an interesting error when he wrote that the Greek Orthodox Church is under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Most of it isn’t, including the country of Greece

One more comment, the picture chosen is kind of amusing.
The fellow pictured on the left, had self proclaimed himself as patriarch of Ukraine (splinter group) before agreeing to Autocephaly under the Patriarch of Constantinople.

But...

He has since denounced the Autocephaly of Ukraine as a trick, not real autocephaly, says he regrets it, generally denounced the whole affair. He called for the Patriarch of Constantinople to be Anathematized (a kind of official church condemnation).

Pelican Brief protrayed two leftist justices taken out, mirroring the left's plan to do the opposite. 80-20

Thank you for clarifying. Heterodox do not understand these nuances and intricacies. Anything they say on that matter will surely be misinformed and misunderstood.
