MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police are searching for suspects who reportedly shot a Corvette driver after he refused to race.
Police said the incident happened early Sunday around 5 a.m. on Raleigh Lagrange Road.
Prior to the shooting, the suspect and the victims got into an argument about racing among other topics, according to a police report.
At some point, the driver of the Mustang blocked the Corvette in a parking lot.
The Corvette’s driver managed to get away and that’s when he was shot.
Incidents like these are a cause for concern for community members. These type incidents are not uncommon in the city of Memphis.
Officer dragged by car in attempt to stop burglary In fact, these types of crimes are the ones that police have been trying to cut down on over the last few years.
Memphis Police were nearby at the time of the shooting and attempted to pull over the Mustang, but it got away.
There were two people inside the car and investigators believe an automatic weapon was used based on evidence recovered at the scene.
The victim who is expected to be okay.

FYI, this shooting was last *October* - not today.
