Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his ground-breaking work negotiating the Abraham Accords. Kushner worked on the Accords in his capacity as White House Senior Advisor, along with his deputy, Special Assistant to the President Avi Berkowitz, who was also included in the nomination.
The nomination was submitted by U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.). The New York Post obtained a copy of the nomination, in which Zeldin wrote, “The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020, represent the most significant diplomatic breakthrough between Israel and Arab nations in decades.” Zeldin emphasized the significance of the men’s work. “Against the background of a centuries-old conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic, rising tensions, and Iran’s growing influence, Kushner and Berkowitz successfully brought together regional leaders, and forged regional alliances better capable of countering Iran’s malign influence.”
The Abraham Accords were a series of four agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco that normalized diplomatic relations between the participating nations. They were a historic accomplishment by the Trump White House, which made more progress towards a peaceful, harmonious Middle East than any prior administration had produced in at least a generation.
Kushner and Berkowitz were nominated once before, in 2021, by Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz. In the same year, President Trump received two Peace Prize nominations: one for doing “more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees” and one for his “Trump doctrine” against involving the United States in endless wars.
There were also controversial nominees in 2021 who arguably caused more consternation than peace, such as Stacey Abrams, the BLM movement, and Greta Thunberg.

I predict he isn't going to get it (Again). His father-in-law either.
Kushner isn’t in the White House any longer.
If this nomination makes the Abraham Accords known worldwide, it would be worth it.
********************************
Kushner isn’t in the White House largely because of the impact Kushner had while he was in the White House.
Which led to Biden being in the White House.
Which will lead to the most precarious middle east in many, many years.
Which makes the Abraham Accords, and anything Kushner had to do with them, moot.
Indeed.
RE: Kushner isn’t in the White House largely because of the impact Kushner had while he was in the White House.

I have to disagree with you there. The above ASSUMES that Biden won fairly and there was no massive cheating and fraud in the 2020 election.
THAT was the main factor, not Jared Kushner.
Concur.
I suggest that the idea was probably Trump’s to begin with, so
even if Jared gets it, it will be an off-hand compliment to
Trump’s efforts.
I do think Jared deserves honorable mention for this too
though. He did a good job following through.
The award is no longer dignified since Obama was awarded.
The Nobel PP committee sullied itself by giving the award to the jackass Al Gore and the jackass Zero, and continues to sully itself until such time as it rescinds those ridiculous errors.
Deserving, but most of the left wants peace in the Levant, at least peace with Israel surviving.
What damage did he do?
Virtually every high-level personal decision Trump made reeked of having liberal ties in the decision-making process. In other words Ivanka and Jared Kushner.
The most recent example was Trump endorsing Ivanka/Jared pal Morgan Ortagus. Not only the endorsement, someone talkedTrump into going into the lefts play Book by lying about Ortegas opponent Robby Starbuck. Trump said he heard that Starbuck voted for Obama. Which was a complete lie. Really really disconcerting and I think someone’s putting Trump up to this stuff and I think it’s Ivanka and Jared and I think they’ve been doing it for his entire political career. Trump’s
decision to announce full support for gay marriage one month before the election had Ivanka all it and may have been the worst political move ever. It horrifies me that Trump never learns and I think we are where we are right now largely because of that connection.
Thank you for the new information!
Susan Lucci has a better chance of winning.
