I never understood Lennon’s attraction to the screeching Ono.

Perhaps my rather cynical tagline applies to Lennon / Ono…

Using the handle Arli$, you probably understand that he has many people working for him—who’s earning are going to drop next year. Any move that increases his payout from 2021 will go to those people as well.

He isn’t taking money for the ‘22-23 season, this all money due to him from his last year.

But Brady has certainly earned his spot in NFL greatness.

Yup - the 49ers spent the late '70s paying for horrible trade decisions (Jim Plunkett and OJ Simpson). Bill Walsh took Montana in the third round. Brady, of course, was a hometown kid and sat around waiting until the 6th round for someone to draft him. The post-dynasty 49ers thought Giovanni Carmazzi would be a better QB choice in that draft...

And go figure, Plunkett goes to the Raiders and wins Super Bowls.

Wasn’t Gary Carter still their catcher, then?

I always admired him, with that big, square head in that old school helmet with one single bar (IIRC)

He looked prehistoric and grizzled to me...:)

What’s Gronk going to do?

That is true!

I enjoyed watching him. And when he left, I was glad my days as a football fan were coming to a close, because I dreaded having my team have to play against him!

I had seen him drive the stake into the hearts of too many opposing fans and players, and didn’t want it stabbing me with his hand, but...it never really came to that.

And, most of that money belongs to her.

Give Tom Brady credit for finding a woman that didn’t need to marry him for his money or fame.

You probably mostly right... He should have stayed with Bridget Moynahan.

True. Sigh, I don't want people getting hurt, but...the kinder and gentler NFL has certainly (even without the wokeism) become less enjoyable to watch, no dobut.

I watched a clip online a while back about Dick Butkus Butkus Monster of the Midway and boy, just that one short video highlights just how the game has changed.

Probably someone in the White House leaked it. Probably the same person that leaked the Breyer retirement. They probably have an office under Psaki that is the Presidential Office of Misdirection - Retirement leaks, staffed by CNN and MSNBC on air anchors.

That “worth” will end quickly once her looks hit the wall.
Tom can choose any job he’d want in sports after retiring.
Coaching, consulting, ownership, broadcasting.

Not much of a market for washed up models.

Should’ve taken Lambert’s advice and put dresses on quarterbacks.

Most news sources on the internet indicate when he signed the one year renewal contract for 2022 it included a $20M signing bonus. Brady will receive $15M of that on February 4, 2022, but in the event he retires before that date the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could recoup $16M of the signing bonus. So it seems that he’ll officially file retirement papers once that trigger date passes. He can verbally state anything he wants to prior to Feb 4 but for contract purposes nothing has occurred until he files retirement papers with the NFL. Now, does he need the $15M - I seriously doubt it.

As an 18th round pick in 1995, UMich offered him a better standard of living if not actually a lot more money.

OT: Colin Kaepernick was a 43rd round pick by the Cubs in 2009.

Currently, MLB draft is 20 rounds.

LOL...choices, choices...

They are (or were) both physically beautiful women, but I have to admit, I found Giesle to be a bit too bony, but...like most guys, I wouldn’t have ejected her for eating crackers in the rack!

No it won’t. She was smart, started her own agency, and fashion line. The money will keep on rolling in.

Well, it was inevitable. Brady was truly sui generis, playing at a high level well into his forties. He was fortunate he avoided serious injuries in his career and was able to maintain that level of performance unlike say Peyton Manning who could barely throw at the end of his career. So thanks Tom Brady for some magnificent performances. And good luck to you in the future. Having Gisele Bundchen around the house can’t be all bad can it?
