What these musicians don’t know or won’t admit is that they usually have no control over who gets to play their music. The rights to the music are usually owned by ASCAP or BMI. The artist gets royalties but has no control.

I grew up a huge Neil Young fan and have always liked his music. I have learned to separate the left wing mentality from the music itself, not only from Neil but a lot of other musicians.

I'm sure Neil is expecting other musicians to step up to the plate to cancel Joe Rogan so I'm saving Spotify the trouble of making the choice. I'll be removing all of Young's music from my playlists and keep Rogan's show.
