MSNBC host Joy Reid said Monday on her show “The ReidOut” that Republicans were the “same” as the Dixiecrat segregationist political party.
Reid also claimed Republicans celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. but oppose “everything Dr. King fought for.”
Reid said, “Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day when people who would have stood four-square against everything Dr. King fought for — equal rights, civil rights, the elimination of poverty, and especially voting rights — soberly repeat that one partial quote they memorized in high school.”
Reid then shared video and tweets from Govs. Greg Abbott (R-TX) and Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Tom McClintock (R-CA), Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Rand Paul (R-KY) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) quoting Dr. King.
She continued, “Which brings us to the need to confront yet another big lie. Republicans who are attacking voting rights like to claim that well nobody is being prevented from voting.

Yep, Dr. King fighting Democrats like Bull Connor or George Wallace. I also remember the story of Republican Clark Gable fighting Democrats in Hollywood and Atlanta so that Hattie McDaniel could be part of the star crowd attending the Gone With The Wind premiere in Atlanta.
The dems keep blacks today on plantations just like they did in the south only now they call them the inner cities. Same thing. Bad education, dilapidated housing, break up the family, no chance of getting away and a sense of never getting ahead. Same thing different century.
Joy Reid is nothing but a liar. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., like Republicans, was against abortion but the Democrats hope to abort as many black children as possible.

MLK opposed abortion and thought it was wrong to treat anyone different because of skin color. He was very opposed to segregation, he was a Christian and committed to non-violence. BLM and the democrats utterly oppose everything he stood for. They stand for deliberate pro-black segregation, they celebrate abortion, they are atheist, they use political violence.
Also, he never got wealthy from the movement.
Joy doesn’t know which end is up. Joy could be speaking from either.
I have no doubt that MLK would have been disgusted by Reid and all of the other professional racists.
