At some point in the relatively near future, President Joe Biden will be handed a speech that will read something like this:
“My Fellow Americans -- Our long national nightmare is over. The pandemic is a thing of the past and I am ordering the end of all federal COVID-related efforts and I implore those governors who have not lifted their emergency orders to do so immediately. It’s time for all of us to get back to normal.”
Given Biden’s speech and cognition issues, he will most likely actually say ‘My Felericans -- our long natural fair is covered,” but that is beside the point -- his political facts of life demand that this moment must occur within the next few months.
With the abject failure -- so far -- of his massive wokedream spending package and the egregious attempt to federalize all elections, the Biden administration needs a very big win before November, and what could be simpler and easier than simply declaring one? Democrat hopes that the January 6 “insurrection” would provide one seem to be coming up short, despite someone, desperately in need of a talking point, recently shaking Attorney General Merrick Garland by the lapels to get him to finally file the first and only “sedition” related charges. (It should be noted here that people who engage in treason tend not to leave their guns at home to comply with local law, or call a few days later to ask if they accidentally left their coat behind, or make sure that the whole thing is wrapped up in time for dinner… but I digress.)

I do think that they can turn this thing into the Common Cold any time they want. Because it is the Common Cold. If they decide to stop panicking, and if they decide to stop oppressing people, then the disease is just “gone”. It happens when it suits their purposes.
There’s always a big uncertainty about how people would react to this scenario after they’ve gotten their 37th COVID booster shot — especially if they have some adverse effects to those shots.
If global Transhumanists & cohorts were not in back of and massively empowered and enriched by the pandemic for the purposes of their Great Reset the author’s scenario would be on target. As it is, for the purpose of maintaining power through fear, Transhumanists are talking about collectivizing all respiratory viruses, including flu, under the Covid-sars umbrella.
When the narrative is flipped, the tricky part will be dissing the Trump vaxx and all its horrors while crediting Biden for forcing people to take it. With the state press and the stupidity of American voters, it can be pulled off.

I think the conditioning of the public is already underway to support a statement like that. I don’t think I see near as many covid headlines now compared to a year ago. It would be interesting for someone to look into that.
The fly in that ointment is Little Boy Blue Fauci. They need to muzzle him for it to work.
The question ios will the mutant virus Democron raise its ugly head to facilitate another election cheat on Nov.3, 2022.
If so it will be followed by a Repubicron variant which will select only democrats to hospitalize and kill?
The pandemic will end at some point only if the virus does not mutate in that way. When the pandemic ends, there will be a showdown, a shoot out at the OK Corral?

I don’t think they will let go of this very easily. If they can keep the same voting rules then they can try to cheat enough to keep the House and Senate, though it will be more complicated than the Biden Steal.
That’s a good point. Some people will be angry and will feel used (as they were), but I think the governments have done such an effective job of terrifying their not-very-bright base (a weird combination of the laptop class, the urban elderly, and university students) that these people simply won’t be willing to give up the restrictions and will not be willing to give up trying to enforce them on other people.
I live in Florida and you’d be amazed at how many people seem to love the very restrictions that DeSantis has legally gotten rid of here. This is especially true in the blue counties, which are heavily made up of NE retirees, or in our many college towns. They go around covered with masks, attacking unmasked store employees, ranting against “anti-vaxers”, insisting that children wear masks in school even though it’s against Florida law, etc.
This feeling of panic seems to have given them both a sense of meaning and a taste of social power that normally would be way beyond the reach of any hypochondriac leftist whiner. They can finally enforce their hysteria on everybody else, with the approval of the Democratic Party, and finally be validated by the tyrannical actions of the government. I don’t think they’re going to give it up easily.

The narrative has been changing…..CDC has become a joke, suddenly PCR tests are not reliable, suddenly “cases” might not be the best way to measure, suddenly “with COVID” and “from Covid” being differentiated.
In 3 or 4 month’s it’ll virtually disappear from the msm news. Until summer when these whores will be gushing over FJB and the demholes victory over the virus.

There is no political advantage to ending the hysteria over the virus. It will end when we all stop paying attention, ignore their insanity, and go back to a normal life.
