What'd I miss? There was supposed to be a 2ft tsunami warning along the Pacific Coast. Should have arrived 7:30 to 8:30 am PDT. Did anyone see it?

Maybe we can escape to Mars so we can raise a second American flag! /s
Portland Propaganda TV had a live shot at Seaside, OR, where the beach is very flat, at 8:45 when the first wave was supposed to hit. You could see the water come up further.
Larger waves will come in up to 3 hrs later when they were predicting a 3’ wave.
Good news for clamdiggers.
You will rebuild.
Try aa 7.4M quake.
That was no volcano. It was a North Korean missile test?
Any Tsunami in Australia?

Oh, my stars. I’ve boogie-boarded in higher waves.
More like a large block of tuff....

My impression is that there was a landslide and lateral blast under water from this volcano. See Mt St Helens for what that looks like above sea level.
Will be interesting to see what the final verdict is about what happened at Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai. Might be weeks to months for that though, I suspect that there are few to no local volcanologists and access to that area is considered very hazardous to your health.
Everyone headed to Maverick to catch the 2-foot waves.
Thumb-up graphic! :-)
Did Whoopie fart again?
Sometimes tsunamis come and go without anyone knowing about it. Many of them are small and unnoticeable.
Th ocean is pretty.
I like to look at it on my computer.
From an elevation of 1600 feet.
{{{shudder}}}
Run for your lives!!!!
2 feet will not be 2 feet.
It will be 24 inches. Almost a meter, and that is enough to kill millions.
(It was a cpl feet in Tonga and the Pacific is a damned big body of water.

So between high and low tide more or less with it being a 4 foot swing here:

I do a little homework before allowing my hair to be lit on fire.
I think this station name says it all:
