One of the nation’s biggest satellite broadcasters, DirecTV, plans to drop carriage of the fringe right-wing cable outlet One America News, several months after a Reuters report revealed that AT&T, one of DirecTV’s owners, was responsible for a large part of the media outlet’s overall revenue.
OAN is owned by Herring Networks, founded by the entrepreneur Robert Herring Sr.
“We informed Herring Networks that, following a routine internal review, we do not plan to enter into a new contract when our current agreement expires,” DirecTV said in a statement. A spokesman would not comment on a report from Bloomberg News Friday evening that said DirecTV’s current carriage contract was set to lapse in April. OAN executives could not be reached for immediate comment.

Thank you
I am not sure that I understand what you are trying to say. Few things are totally free. Are you saying that you pay nothing extra for the televised content that you get bundled with your internet and phone? What are you paying per month for your combined services? Fios is certainly not free in our area and charges extra for bundling TV and phone services. Premium content such as AMC+ , HBO, etc. costs more still. It is not available at either of the houses we currently own.
We do not actually have to pay to stream other than subscribing to a high-speed internet provider. We pay for premium services as described in my previous posts. OAN is currently free through KlowdTV and there are many other free ad supported streaming services both with channels and on demand content. Even Comcast has given us a “free” streaming device that they provide “free” programming on. We just do not use it much.
I was talking about, I think, what you might have with Comcast. It’s all paid for and not cheap. But it includes tv.frontier.net where you can stream with your account info.
Even if OAN is cheap on its own, it’s not free. And ala carte programming can add up. I’m pretty sick of having netflix, amazon, frontier and so on as different paid accounts. I looked into Youtube TV, but it costs almost the exact same as my FIOS/Frontier bill.
I’m not watching that much regular TV anymore and might just go with a few streaming services and ad-free Youtube (with an ad blocker) someday.
What are you talking about all you needis internet and a smart tv...go to download apps and install pluto-its free.
So, ticking off half their client base. 😆
Can you get PBS for free? I really haven’t checked into it that much. AFAIK things like PBS and network TV channels need either an antenna or be attached to some kind of subscription.
But it is free! You can get it through the KlowdTV free package. They do not even require you to provide a credit card. You can watch it on your computer or just about any type of streaming device for free. Is this a lead a horse to water but cannot make it drink situation?
I looked into Youtube TV, but it costs almost the exact same as my FIOS/Frontier bill.
Youtube TV is not a particularly good deal. Their biggest selling point is “unlimited DVR”. The premium providers are constantly changing their services and content. OAN was originally $5 a month, then it was $2.50 with about 50 channels. Currently they are giving it away.
Sling currently costs us about $50 a month, but it has 200 hours of DVR, on ungodly number of channels most which we have little interest in, but it streams on 3 devices at the same time so we split the cost with my parents because they love the cable like experience.
Ok, got it now. :) It just seems there’s always a catch to free stuff. As I’ve heard if you aren’t paying for a product, you are the product.
Without income from att it will be hard for qan to stay in business
Need to find out ALL who are backdoor financing these garbage can outfits in order to keep them afloat(for the new world order), and throw them all(after dismemberment)...in garbage cans.
You are right, but the only catch to the OAN/KlowdTV free package is that most of the channels have some sort of advertising.
FuboTv doesn’t carry the Great CNN
It seems you get this for free: OAN Plus is an OTT free-ad-supported TV (”FAST”) variant of national cable news brand One America News Network (”OAN”).
Do you know of any differences that would cause it to be a ‘variant’? It seems to be a limited schedule that repeats.
You can pay for OAN on an AppleTV for about $5 per month.
No PBS on Pluto you need an antenna for local station.
No, I think that it is just written in a confusing way. We have both OAN and OAN plus and as I said even though we are paying $2.50 a month, the free lineup looks identical. If you look at other networks like FOX and FOX Business they also typically have the same shows on several times a day. FOX Business even has hours of infomercials.

As I’ve heard if you aren’t paying for a product, you are the product.

Very true! I call it the commodity of souls.
You know, I’m wioth Direct TV on this one. I go to post a comment at OANN, it’s ‘pending moderation’ for 3-4 days, then gets removed. The last time, “No, sir. I don’t think so,” was pending for a week...then, poof...gone.
OANN is fake conservatism. **** ‘em.
