I was at the Mayo Clinic Phoenix yesterday for a scheduled Xray appointment. Mayo Phoenix has prided itself on being on time for appointments; I have discovered that this has been true.
However, yesterday I waited for 90 minutes. The explanation was staff call offs. Did Mayo’s recent firing of 700 employees in Arizona have any effect? Or will the shortages be blamed on Omicron?
It will get worse...
I’m interested to see what my employer does now.
That will eventually die when they have no one willing to work in their hospitals

Nope. Just like with police and the military. They want compliant sheep because they have evil plans for the future. Kavanaugh is a piece of crap.
Kav is a total cuckwad. How do you, on the one hand, rule that a federal vax mandate on workers at private companies is unconstitutional, yet then claim those who work in the private health sector must take the jab? What a total effing moronic decision. It’s the Supreme Circus. That Civil War clock’s minute hand just keeps creeping ever closer to the “bewitching hour.”
How would this affect an organization like Kaiser Permanente?
Health care facilities are actually bringing people back who are vaccinated but have covid.
There you go.
I wonder if this was the ruling and opinion Deep State intended to go with all along, or if this was a last minute change...
No. That’s why the OSHA mandate was overturned — because OSHA is a regulatory agency.
The Medicare/Medicaid mandate was allowed to stand because these are government programs where the Federal government is the CUSTOMER.
I've been waiting for the gun-confiscation one.
They split the baby.
Many practices here refuse medicaid.
they only take old established patients medicare.
Hosptials are another animal.
You are correct.
So after all the sound and fury of the supposed 6-3 “conservative majority” what we are left with is 4-4, with Roberts gone full Souter and Kavanagh stepping into the shoes of Kennedy as the swing vote. Barrett has somewhat redeemed herself but she is far from being another Alito or Thomas.
The funding threshold might be as low as $1. I would assume the distinction is based on whether a medical facility has a CONTRACT with the Federal government to facilitate payments for some or all of its patients.
Well …. Just about every hospital and a vast majority of medical practices have to receive Medicare and Medicaid funding, and that requires a federal contract…
CoupFlu has NEVER been about public health.
BTW, unless Deep State has changed the regs that the Trump admin changed in March of 2020, nursing homes can still refuse to take back sick patients.
If Deep State did change it back so that residential care facilities can’t refuse, who did it when, and why in HADES hasn’t Congress made a stink?!
Unlikely.
Our system is at 96% vaxxed, as most are. Losing 4% is going to hurt (if they really quit)+, but not enough to precipitate collapse.
