House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) called the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse “heartbreaking” and said that it sets a “dangerous precedent.” He’s now calling on the Department of Justice to review the verdict.
“This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ,” Nadler tweeted. “Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest.”
Rittenhouse did not cross state lines with an AR-15, but was, in fact, provided with the weapon earlier in the day.
Looting and rioting are also not protected by the First Amendment.

I see they’re protesting already tonight in NY....of course Cuomo and DeBasio set that up with their seal of approval as soon as the verdict came in. It’s early so I suspect this protests to grow violent as the evening wears on, the booze sets in and these idiots marching fail miserably to understand law or justice....or for that matter what it is to be a true American.....thugs and students with zero common sense.

It’s a Friday night...so I’d be surprised if it remains calm. The other trial’s going on and I tend to think the worst will be if the father and son get off. In that case they were not being attacked....rather more like vigilantes with overblown egos.

Believe the last time the Feds brought Federal civil rights violations charges against defendants after local/state courts found them NOT Guilty were the LAPD Officers involved in the Rodney King case back in 1992. Old man Bush surrendered to the mob following the Rodney King riots in LA following the LAPD’s officers acquittal and had the LAPD officers tried and most convicted on Federal Civil Rights charges.
I would not put it past China Joe and his corrupt AG Garland to prosecute Kyle Rittenhouse on bogus Federal Civil Rights violations charges along with possible Federal firearms charges.
They will claim it’s all “in the interests of Justice” after manufactured national outrage over the not guilty verdict but in reality it’ll likely be to prevent Kyle from suing Biden for slander/defamation due to his legal team being occupied in fighting off Fed civil rights charges to sue anyone.
I also seem to recall a few threats of fed intervention after that but the DOJ couldn't get enough dirt to pursue them. Maybe the college professor arrested in front of his own house??
With the reds in charge, facts won't matter. Style over substance is most important the them.
Jeez imagine the havoc garland could have caused in the SCOTUS given his track record so far.

Agree we dodged a bullet when McConnell blocked Garland from becoming a SCOTUS Justice! The last time the Feds seriously considered bringing civil rights charges against anyone was the Ferguson, MO police officer who shot Michael Brown. After review they backed off!
Sadly I feel Kyle isn’t out of the woods legally - my gut says Garlands corrupt DOJ will try to railroad Kyle on civil rights violation charges or possible federal firearms charges! Especially after the raid on James O’Keefe/Project Veritas to retrieve Biden’s daughter’s diary and charging Steve Bannon, I wouldn’t put it past this DOJ to go after Kyle!
Another more ominous reason this DOJ will go after Kyle is to protect China Joe from getting sued by Kyle for libel/defamation by tying up Kyles legal focus on criminal defense instead of going on the offensive with libel/defamation lawsuits!
