The second-ranking general in the US military has sounded the alarm about China’s weapons development — warning that Beijing may soon have the capability to launch a surprise nuclear strike against America.
“They look like a first-use weapon,” Gen. John Hyten, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told CBS News Tuesday. “That’s what those weapons look like to me.”
Hyten was discussing China’s test of a hypersonic weapon from this summer, which was first reported by the Financial Times last month.
“They launched a long-range missile,” Hyten said. “It went around the world, dropped off a hypersonic glide vehicle that glided all the way back to China, that impacted a target in China.”

Haha! Perfect!
Exactly. Nukes are so 1990’s. Our enemies want our resources. China doesn’t even need to carry out a strike since Xiden has allowed them to infiltrate and is proving to be able to manipulate him.
Yep
Only people who would vote if they were allowed would be Han Chinese - all others dead or enslaved.
FReepers need to understand that a surprise nuclear strike from Russia and China is a very real possibility. Such cataclysmic surprise attacks are written all over their strategic planning literature and is supported by their actual military focus, though China has also emphasized wiping us all out with biological super weapons so they can move into the USA and keep the infrastructure (Chinese infrastructure is complete trash).
China wants our arable land and unpolluted water, having destroyed all their own.
“...had a reciprocal deal going...”
“reciprocal” or “reciprocating”?
Enquiring minds, yaknow.
And if you yhink nuclear war is winnable your delusional.
The United States won the first nuclear war.
Because COVID was a script preparation for “What would the global community do in the event of a limited nuclear exchange?” most likely between China and the US. The answer is: Nothing. The global community wouldn’t do shit except limit potassium iodide to people who just had their 12th COVID booster.
I would think so,.....look a the map
First off 3 Gorges is a major electricity power generating plant
Down stream are:
Several major cities
Several nuclear power stations also down stream
The lower river all the way to the port will be flooded out
Port on the coast taken out
Lot of useful agricultural farmland taken out
Massive debris spews out into the Pacific..eventually to wash up on the USA West Coast.
Millions lost in the flood and subsequent famine
Supply chain from China broken for good
Chinese population turns on the CCP....new regime takes over.
Thanks for the clarification...
I agree. China has no need to drop any kind of bomb.
I won’t believe him until he goes in for a sex change assignment and becomes an amoeba.
Lol, didn’t mean it that way...
We’re docile customers who are dependent on them and we support their economy so they don’t need to attack us — even if they can. They also know with certainty that Biden will cave to their wishes and demands.
Congress has passed or will pass five trillion dollars in pork. Essentially nothing for increase in defense budget. Meanwhile, the Navy is wearing out existing ships. Takes ten years to float the USS Gerald Ford. Ohio class boomer subs are reaching the end of their useful life and nothing to replace them yet. But we get windmills and solar windows to beat hell. And fancy bridges to nowhere. Tree equity for the concrete jungle. And a 300,000 member “Civilian Climate Corps” to do god knows what.
Yeah, I’d say we got budget problems.
“And a 300,000 member “Civilian Climate Corps” to do god knows what.”
To come inspect your house and decide what you can keep. Confiscate your car. Tell you who you have to help quarter, etc etc.
Exactly
