Both sides have rested their case and they proceed to try to convince the jury that their client is either guilty as charged (including lesser offenses) or Not Guilty by reason of self-defense.
So far, my favorite line from the trial came from the prosecution:
ADA Binger: "Mr. Rittenhouse, you play Call of Duty, right? Isn't the goal of that game to kill everyone in sight?"
KYLE: "Well, yea, but it is a game . . . it isn't reality."
You missed a lot over the past two weeks.
What does he think he’s convincing them of, with a three-hour harangue? He’s not even a very compelling speaker.

that sarcastic, nasty, condescending tone makes me ill. I hope the jury has the same reaction as me.
What kind of ‘active shooter” runs towards the safety of the police line?
Well I have some thoughts about this prosecutor so get out the iinsults now:
Fishtalk wants to spew; Fishtalk is dumb; Fishtalk has not been a member of the Freep community, participating for over 20 years.
But this prosecutor is the worst. Nothing he says is true or believable.
He is KR’s best friend.
Same.
Has Roberts?
“I hope he is found not guilty.”
I do too. I also worry a bit. The people that anger me are those politicizing the outcome, particularly the news media. They are jackals.
I also feel guilty that I am not doing more.
JEFF!!!!
You going to insult me too?
Et tu Jeff?
All I can figure is that Binger is doing his best to hide his shame for being part of this political prosecution.
Okay dware.
That’s a good observation.
Would you tell your son to grab a loaded gun and get out there?
The second amendment is a right, not a popular meme.
Kyle had a constitutional right to carry that gun in a perilous environment.
Or elese he would be dead or maimed.
Would you send your son out there to be killed or mained.
I would tell him to take a gun and stay safe. Kyles strategic mistake was to get out into that crown of anarchists and Marxists. But he had as much right to be out there as any of them.
You keep saying it’s wrong, without offering a single reason why. If it’s just your opinion, and you can’t craft a coherent argument why it’s correct, then yes, you should probably refrain from discussing the law and legal matters.
I went from being apoplectic listening to this joker’s summation to finding it hilarious.
Eh. Ignore em. Many will excoriate you as a Trump hating leftist from DU if you dare to question the legitimacy of the great and powerful Q. Lol. Few here actually have the ability to reason beyond what their small minds can comprehend.
I listened to Nancy Grace last night. Boy is she on the side of the prosecution.
She yelled at one guest for saying how awful the prosecution is.
And those people who say that KR’s crying was fake, I am sorry.
He was genuinely distraught. Those were NOT fake tears.
I am quite sure he did not want to kill anybody and at that time I think, (and this is just MY thoughts and everybody on this thread already knows how dumb I am) that at that time KR realized the enormity of his situation.
Thanks dware.
Seriously, I think I bring something to the table but this happens on FreeRepublic sometimes.
Woah woah, easy Girl.
I did not intend to insult you. I merely pointed out that watching the events of the past couple days does not give you enough information to know how the trial will go.
There was a lot of compelling evidence shown over two weeks that support acquittal. There was really no evidence to support conviction.
“One 17 year old kid is not a militia.”
Audie Murphy would disagree with you.
