Both sides have rested their case and they proceed to try to convince the jury that their client is either guilty as charged (including lesser offenses) or Not Guilty by reason of self-defense.
So far, my favorite line from the trial came from the prosecution:
ADA Binger: "Mr. Rittenhouse, you play Call of Duty, right? Isn't the goal of that game to kill everyone in sight?"
KYLE: "Well, yea, but it is a game . . . it isn't reality."
But he’d have to claim his own witness (and the one, with Kyle, with first-hand knowledge) was committing perjury when he testified that he did. That sounds almost more damning than admitting GG pointed his gun at Kyle.
Yay! you’re done. I’m glad. too much stupidity coming from the prosecution to have to then listen to you as well.

It’s just my thought and I might...indeed am probably....wrong.
I do not think he deserves to go to jail. I believe that he was being threatened and did what I, indeed, most people, would have done.
But he’s a kid. He shouldn’t have been out there, much less with a loaded gun.
And none of this would have happened.
But he did what he thought was right and I just think he will be charged with something.

He is a grown man with very very low character. He has to look at himself every day in the mirror and I hope he sees a pile of shit.
Yes, if you never go to where there are bad people, you won’t need to have a gun to defend yourself. But he isn’t charged with “Went someplace scary”. That is not illegal.
And if attacked, you have the right to defend yourself. Even with a “big gun”! It is 100% legal for him to have the gun with him - which is why that charged was DROPPED!
It is a straight up Liberal talking point. Binger tried to do that very same thing in court. He tried to claim KR should not have been there with such a BIG gun, and because he had brought a BIG gun then he had premeditated intentions of killing someone.
Then Binger tried to claim that because it was such a BIG gun it was an illegal gun. Even came down to measuring the rifle against the legal definition of what is a legal gun or not a legal gun. Then and only then did Binger back down and admit it was indeed a legal gun.
In fact... Binger is trying to do it again right now. Trying to say that an AR15 is not a normal self defense weapon and is too BIG for the circumstances.

That’s what I wanted when I posted.
Insults accomplish nothing.
I think he should be found not guilty.
But I think that young men should not be going into a crowd of mad rioters all by themselves.
One 17 year old kid is not a militia.
First of all, he was there because the police were allowing the city to be burned down, and Rittenhouse felt he could help out a community that was in desperate need. Secondly, he was chased into a corner by Rosenbaum, who then tried to grab Kyle's gun, which led to having to shoot his way out. Then, on his way to turn himself into the police he was attacked by three more people.
By the way, that is not my opinion- those are the facts that have come out in the trial.
big time. swoops into a thread without an ounce of knowledge of the case, spews a bunch of crap and then becomes offended that we don’t coddle her in her erroneous take.
The rest of your post makes it seem like you haven't been watching it very closely.
In the case of threats, riots, looting and arson of my community? Yes, I would. Hell, he'd probably be the one to come to me. But as members of the "militia", it is our duty to provide protection and security for our communities, whether against foreign invaders or domestic terrorist trash like the ones Kyle came in contact with.
He’s insufferable. The GUN is on trial here.

Kyle is the type of guy to go out and protect his community. He helped clean up graffiti that day and was their protecting businesses that had been damaged. Yes he grabbed a gun and made it sure it was loaded. Otherwise he would have likely been beat to death with the gun and a skate board.
Kyle was not the type of guy, thank God, to sit at home closely watching his TV. Sadly, he probably is now.
