It is a straight up Liberal talking point. Binger tried to do that very same thing in court. He tried to claim KR should not have been there with such a BIG gun, and because he had brought a BIG gun then he had premeditated intentions of killing someone.
Then Binger tried to claim that because it was such a BIG gun it was an illegal gun. Even came down to measuring the rifle against the legal definition of what is a legal gun or not a legal gun. Then and only then did Binger back down and admit it was indeed a legal gun.
In fact... Binger is trying to do it again right now. Trying to say that an AR15 is not a normal self defense weapon and is too BIG for the circumstances.
Ooh, ooh, it’s a .22 on steroids! I’m afeard! (Not that I ever want to get shot with a .223, but how ridiculous is the ‘too big for self defense’ argument)
