Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell died on Monday of Covid-19 complications. His family announced that he was fully vaccinated. He was 84 years old, and had multiple myeloma, a blood cancer.
Health officials worry that anti-vaccine activists will seize upon Powell's death to make the claim that vaccines don't work. If you can still die after being vaccinated for Covid-19, what's the point of getting the vaccine?
CNN: When we see vaccinated people dying from Covid-19, how do you explain that vaccines are still worth taking?
Dr. Leana Wen: We need to start with the science and what the research shows. The Covid-19 vaccines are extraordinarily effective in preventing illness and especially severe disease. The most recent data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that they reduce the likelihood of testing positive for Covid-19 by six-fold and the likelihood of death by 11-fold.
That means that if you are vaccinated, you are six times less likely to get Covid-19 than someone who's unvaccinated. And you are 11 times less likely to die from Covid-19 compared to an unvaccinated person. That's really excellent.

Okay, now do “Why fake news doesn’t mean CNN is ineffective.”
Here’s what doesn’t make sense. The Maryland Governor’s Covid advisor says 40% of deaths in Maryland in the last 6-8 weeks were fully vaccinated. If the vaccines are effective most or almost ALL of the cases over the last 8 weeks must also be fully vaccinated.
Which means the unvaccinated are doing better than the vaccinated and now represent a minority of cases.
Somebody better get their story straight because their numbers don’t make sense with their claims.
Notice how the window has shifted.
It was ‘Almost 100% effective.’ not that long ago.
Oh, and it works the other way. Some here had predicted to see ADE or OAS here by mid October (to be fair I said that if was coming we would see it by now!) While we are seeing many vaxed that are sick, we are not seeing huge signs of ADE.
But winter is around the corner.

It means the vaxx doesn’t work and they’re being coughed on by those mean unvaxxed folks.
We do have breakthrough cases of mumps and measles. A cluster of cases happened out here in 2011 (the county quietly covered it up once they realized all the cases were vaccinated).
Polio.. well they keep finding polio is waste water. Remember before covid we had a bunch of kids get a cold and not be able to walk? There were some hints it was polio.
Smallpox is gone as far as we know. The fear is if it breaks out again, we will have a 30% die off.
Nearly everything is political. Our medical groups have moved in that direction.
When your research depends on government funds then your research will prove what ever it is the government wants to prove.
Currently the government wants the various vaccines to all be safe and effective so that is what the research shows. By the way, what ever happen to informed consent. Watch any ad for medicine on television and there will be text explaining the side effects. Why don’t the vaccines have to have the same warnings?
Hate to say this but so long as you don’t die of Covid, they don’t care what kills you or whether their vaccine hastened the death by hijacking and/or exhausting the natural immune system.
The worry of the officials noted above is a self-evidently unscientific worry. Those so-called medical officials are not trusting science to refute "anti-vaccine activists," which only reasonably would mean that the science would not support the officials' position, or might even show the officials to be wrong. That certainly is the apparent logic of their worry!
The portent seems to be that anti-vaxxers are closer to what the science would argue than to what these health officials claim and follow. Good! Let the officials suffer for their non-science!
Just think. If Colin Powell hadn’t been VAXxed he would be 11 times deader.

Colin Powell didn’t die FROM the CCP virus. He died WITH the CCP virus.
He had a form of terminal cancer. That’s what killed him.
The purpose of COVID vaccines are to flatten the herd.
If it weren’t for hysteria, I might have taken the notavax.
But the level of hysteria got me wondering what was going on. I don’t need to be cajoled, bribed, or bullied to take a flu shot and I would be suspicious if someone tried to do so.
Why does anyone trust the CDC anymore?
The hospital stated he died from complications from COVID. While you may be right you have no information to back that up. (The hospital probably doesn't either)

Must be talking points, this is the third time I read this or heard this.
Where is the data the back this up?
Is this hockey stick data?
Surely, they are not trusting data from the vaccine makers that will make billions when everybody gets the shot.
