Pence: Trump and I ‘talked through’ differences after Capitol riot
NY Post ^ | 10/05/2021 | Samuel Chamberlain

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Monday that he has a “strong relationship” with former President Donald Trump and added that the two had sat down and “talked through” their differences in the days after the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol.

“Look, you can’t spend almost five years in a political foxhole with somebody without developing a strong relationship,” Pence told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “And, you know, January 6 was a tragic day in the history of our Capitol building. But thanks to the efforts of Capitol Hill police, federal officials, the Capitol was secured. We finished our work, and the president and I sat down a few days later and talked through all of it.”

Pence added that he and Trump had “parted amicably at the end of the administration and we’ve talked a number of times since we both left office.”

I’ll believe that claim when I hear it from Trump.

*************

Trump needs to separate himself from the GOP. The party is full of people like Pence. No wonder few voters have any confidence in the GOP.

Same thing as 9/11, right Pence?

Pence lies. ALL he had to do was RECUSE himself from the counting. That’s all. Someone else would have done it and he would have been seen as supporting his President and the idea that yes, the election was really stolen.

So, did Hanity ask Pence about the Arizona audit? If not, Hannity is part of the problem. Since I don’t watch FOX, I didn’t see the interview.

All Pence would have been able to do was a delaying action at best. After the Dems stole the Georgia runoff, they had the needed votes to override Pence and certify the election themselves. Romney and Murkowski would have defected to elect a Dem President pro tempore. And that’s all they needed.

Note the timing of the interview. Just about one year out from the next “election”. Pence seeking relevancy.

Hannity knows well the significance of this interview.

And Pence didn’t stand up. He’s still lying down.

“ January 6 was a tragic day in the history of our Capitol building.”

He just doesn’t get what Jan 6th was about.

Pence was grabbed off the trash heap. Now he has been returned to the trash heap..and he can’t come to terms with it.

“ stupid comments bashing Pence over failure to use imaginary powers”

Forget the imaginary powers. Has he said one thing critical of the election to this day ?

It would not surprise me at all if Pence is Trump’s running mate in 2024.
