A federal judge tore into a low-level defendant in the Capitol Riot Friday, moments after the man entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge stemming from the Jan. 6 unrest.
“You’ve disgraced this country in the eyes of the world and my inclination would be to lock you up, but since the government isn’t asking me to do that ... I won’t,” U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton shouted at Fort Pierce, Fla., resident Anthony Mariotto during a video hearing. “I find it outrageous that American citizens would do what you did, so you better walk the straight and narrow, sir, you understand?”....
the judge, an appointee of former President George W. Bush. “It was an attack on our government, and I love my government. This government has been good to me. To see somebody destroy, or try to destroy, the Capitol is very troubling to me.”

I guess Judge nullification ain’t a concept like jury nullification readily embraced by some.. unless you’re colored, an illegal, a leftist or a terrorist.

Capitol buildings can be rebuilt (Heck, it’s built like a fortified palace anyway) but confidence in gubamint and the fair and equal administration of same will take a bit longer.

Like it or not judge, citizens have a right to act up.
If things are bad enough they should.
Note that objection these same people have to ANTIFA or BLM
doing far far worse then these people did, and yet they have
the benefit of being seen only as protesters.
Riot, break in, loot, burn, and kill people, and it’s still
considered a mostly peaceful protest.
Folks gain access to the capital, at least some of them by
invitation on tape, they get roudy and give some officers
a hard time, but they do not set fires. They do not kill
people. Yes, this embarrasses the judge on behalf of the
nation in front of the whole world.
Of course our nation is not embarrassed to have riots in
cities across the nation, creating billions of dollars in
damages with immunity (essentially).
This judge couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag.

Is the judge aware that cities all over the United States had their downtown windows boarded up on Nov 3 in anticipation of a Trump victory? Riots were expected but the cheating was so overwhelming that Biden was declared the winner. We did not riot.

Judge Walton is himself guilty of drinking the Jan. 6 Kool-aid....there was no riot inside the White House until BLM and antifa started it with their pushing people not to turn back and whipping up the perfect storm with capitol police doing nothing to stem the madness...I suspect, as was programed.
Now we're having the news 24/7 of an unknown, Gabby and her boyfriend, making national news to get us to look away from our Southern border which is in (chaos as 1000 people a day cross into America) and so called president will do little about it. Joy Reid, Don Lemon and all the other Marxists misinform about the illegals grabbing the reigns of the BP horses saying the BP is whipping the illegals...THAT IS JUST NOT SO JOY REID AND THE REST OF THE KNOW-NOTHING CROWD. This will never end. The USA is screwed and there is not much we can do about it. Vote? Run for office? I don’t trust our elections anymore, so why vote? and I don’t see running for office these days is healthy for most folks. I wouldn’t because I am older and don’t know the first thing about running for office.
