National Archives adds “trigger warnings” to historical founding documents including Constitution, Declaration of Independence

The abject stupidity of the triggered left knows no bounds.

According to Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), the National Archives in Washington, DC has added a disclaimer to their website saying that some of our historical documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution may contain “harmful content.”

Boebert tweeted:

“The National Archives have now put a disclaimer on their website that our historical documents may include Harmful Content. They even slapped this warning on the Constitution. We tried to tell you the Left wanted to get rid of it!”

Lest you think we are making this up, the following is taken directly from the web page, in part:

“The Catalog and web pages contain some content that may be harmful or difficult to view. NARA’s records span the history of the United States, and it is our charge to preserve and make available these historical records.

As a result, some of the materials presented here may reflect outdated, biased, offensive and possibly violent views and opinions. In addition, some of the materials may relate to violent or graphic events and are preserved for their historical significance.

The National Archives is committed to working with staff, communities, and peer institutions to assess and update descriptions that are harmful to establish standards and policies to prevent future harmful language in staff-generated descriptions.” [emphasis added]

Under the FAQ section on the page, it warns the following may be found:

“Some items may:

reflect racist, sexist, ableist, misogynistic/misogynoir, and xenophobic opinions and attitudes; be discriminatory towards or exclude diverse views on sexuality, gender, religion and more; include graphic content of historical events such as violent death, medical procedures, crime, wars/terrorist acts, natural disasters and more; demonstrate bias and exclusion in institutional collecting and digitization policies.

The web page continues to describe all manner of explanations for the inclusion of certain terms and says that language used in some of the archived documents may “reflect biases and prejudices.” It continues that some subject headings may use terms that are “outdated, offensive, or insensitive.”

There no words I can use to describe my outrage over this story. I have a visceral hate for those who want to destroy what was once the greatest country ever conceived by man. We aren’t circling the drain. We have made it to the septic tank. I am 74 years of age and can remember what it was like to live in a free country. I feel sorry for those who never had that privilege.

Please clarify your remark.

Un·ter·mensch
/ˈo͝on(t)ərˌmen(t)SH/
noun
a person considered racially or socially inferior.

Also, do you mean to say what gives them the right to live in our PRESENT country or the one we would build up from secession?

At some point, Democrats will have to be "discarded" as intellectually inferior.

While the movie "Idiocracy" is purported to be a fantasy, the Feds, via the national Archives, have just issued a warning that the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution both have "triggering" language.

I would presume that the Democrats in Congress will recommend they be edited...

If that isn't felony stupid...

These people are probably troubled by any given arrangement of alphanumeric characters. There are probably those who would have a panic attack over a bowl of alphabet soup.

... and the United States Constitution may contain “harmful content.”

People 'so fragile' the smallest thing upsets them are mentally ill. They real ones are few and far between.

The majority of these so called fragile liberals are like white people pretending to be black - or pretending to be Indian - they receive benefits of 'being a victim' without actually being a victim.

In short, the vast majority of people obsessing about being triggered are lying to get attention they can't get any other way. They're disgusting human beings.

apparently they put that warning on every page, not just the Constitution, etc.

"National Archives adds “trigger warnings” to historical founding documents including Constitution, Declaration of Independence"

And why not?
Is there any slightest indication that the American people would either stop, attempt to stop, or raise hell about this?

The communists are living large and in total control...
This is just the barebones beginning...

When Americans realize how bad things are, they will band together, once again, at Concord Bridge and chant:
Bow down!... Obey!... Snitch!...
