Sen. Mitt Romney says if Congressional Democrats and President Joe Biden are set on passing a $3.5 trillion spending bill without a single Republican vote, then Democrats should be responsible for raising the nation’s debt limit.
“Right now it’s my colleagues across the aisle who are raising the spending. They should be the ones who raise the debt ceiling,” Romney said during a wide-ranging visit with The Tribune’s editorial board.
The fight over the debt limit is a high-stakes game of “chicken” playing out in Congress, where Democrats have very slim majorities in both the House and Senate.
The debt ceiling does not authorize any new spending. It’s is the maximum amount of money the government is allowed to borrow to meet current debt obligations. Congress has voted to raise the debt limit 78 times since 1960.

It’s logically impossible for any ethical system to require me to set myself on fire to keep other people warm.
And to assert both 1) that forcing OTHERS to be vaccinated protects YOU against a disease, but also 2) that YOU having been vaccinated does not protect YOU against that same disease is a logical contradiction. And logical contradictions are ABSOLUTE, FATAL, UNCHALLENGEABLE falsifications.
Worse, most of us have already had the disease, even if we had no symptoms. And having survived the infection confers 13 times more effective immunity than the vaccination provides (that’s the actual science.) The fact you’re not willing to exclude those with natural immunity (which is testable) totally exposes the fact that all you really care about is acquiring and exercising power and control over others. It has absolutely nothing to do with public health, nor with your own health. And there’s no way you don’t already know that, you EVIL son of a BITCH!!!!
