Oregon implementing mask mandates outdoors regardless of vaccination status © Getty Images Oregon announced Tuesday it is reimplementing an outdoor mask mandate regardless of vaccination status, a measure that is slated to take effect starting Friday.
“Effective Friday, August 27, masks will be required in most public outdoor settings, including large outdoor events, where physical distancing is not possible, and regardless of vaccination status,” a press release from the governor’s office stated.
Gov. Kate Brown (D) said in a video this action is to “protect Oregonians and save lives.”

I’ve been saying for years that the US is like 50 separate “mostly sovereign” countries that are members of a single federation - kinda like the EU.
I’m from the country of Kentucky. We just cancelled our trip to the country of Washington because of this sort of nonsense. The countries are growing apart thanks to this lunacy. That’s fine with me. Let Oregon, Washington, et al deal with the government they chose and I’ll deal with mine. We’re much more free here, which is why I left Washington state in the first place 10 years ago.
Oregon is a garbage fire of a state, filled with vile, disgusting, rotten human beings. They fully deserve all the misery heaped upon them by the people they’ve elected.
If any conservative still lives and pays taxes in Oregon, then they are complicit in all the socialist evil as well.

Oregon is just like every other liberal state where one or two cities control the entire state.
Imagine if Trump was the president doing this ... and how quickly the support for this kind of “safety” would evaporate and the Hitler references would flood the media.
Even within a town. In CT the Governor left it up the towns/cities to mandate masks and a few banded tougher, in secret, and implemented/announced mandates all at the same time. We are now back to Karen’s on FB screaming how they went to XYZ Store and saw mask less people in their. Back to the division that tore communities appear in 2020 in the blink of a eye.
So far, it is only in some Dem run areas. We have enough sane Dem and Rep run towns where I can go one town over and go out to eat without having to wear a mask to the table, then take it off once seated...because science.
I actually called Town Hall in a nearby town and began to say how I had a great dinner at a local restaurant, etc. and of course the secretary thank em for taking the reasonable precaution of mask wearing, etc. until i mentions it was at a local chain who had several locations, but none in that town. All of a sudden they were upset I dint support muy local businesses.
I told them to stop treating everyone like a plague and I’ll return. They hung up on me. That mandate was put in pace with 6 cases over the course of week in about 12k people, or something like a 0.0006% positivity rate.
Masks don’t work, at best unless a KN95 they are about 10% effective if worn properly which most aren’t. And apparently the vaccine doesn’t work either. So what does doesn’t work + doesn’t work equal? The answer is you don’t work if you don’t do the first two that don’t work.
