Vice President Kamala Harris vanished from public view for five days as President Joe Biden and his administration tackled their worst foreign policy blunder to date.
Her last solo public appearance was on August 12, as she met with business leaders to discuss the importance of childcare and paid leave benefits.

Officialy, Harris was expected to remain in Washington, DC, during the August recess. But she has completely vanished from public view.

Kamala has never seemed to understand what the basic role of a Vice President is. Part of that role is to act as support for the President, in ways that he requests that support.
A Vice Presient is not to pick and chose specific duties based on what appeals to them individually.
The will of a Vice President is at all times meant to be subordinate to the will of the President.
Exceptions like Cheney, being prone to act and speak independantly of their superior, are relatively rare.

Biden certainly did not win the Presidency on his own - he was placed there.
Its all about their factions in the party and especially within the massive Fed.gov bureaucracy. Its why things are so chaotic - factional rule, and behind-the-scenes power bases makes for extreme instability.
We are probably on the cusp of finding out what horrific consequences to a stolen unchallenged election really are.
