Maybe they'll knock it off when "some" turn to "most"...
Woke athletes are the elephants standing in the sportscaster's living room.
One would think NBC’s financial shortfall reached disaster status if ratings were off by about 1/2. That’s a lot of free make-up inventory they’ll be giving away.
Multi-millions if not billions in 700 hours of telecasting on 4 or 5 channels.
Is there no one within the NBC board room who realizes that anti-US sentiment is killing them ?
That's Idi Amin for sure. I didn't know he was athletic.
Hey Secret antiperspirants, we’ve got a model for you....................
I watch old videos of Mark Maguire and Sammy Sosa because I can relate.
Not if they want to keep their jobs...................
I had no intentions of watching, but we were stuck in a place with no internet or DVDs.
We enjoyed most of the coverage.
Observations:
1. The caliber of play and skill in women’s basketball is WAY below men’s. WAY BELOW.
2. Mixed relays in track and swimming served only to highlight the difference in speed between men and women.
3. There are still lots of great young, patriotic athletes in the games, but they get overshadowed by the wokesters. (See: Sydney McLaughlin; Tamyra Mensah-Stock)
cant they just lie about the ratings numbers like they do everything else ?
To be expected from the National Broadcasting Communism network!
Or maybe she’s “Straight Edge”.
Nope, their advertisers would all quit en masse................
I saw Americans of all races accepting medals with great pride and love for their country. It’s shame the Wokes get the attention.
I don't think they play the anthems before games at the Olympics, only for the gold medal winner at the end of the tournament.
That said, the women's soccer team did take a knee before each game they played, except for #10, Carli Lloyd.

// And yes- i still call “her” Bruce Jenner
I’m the opposite. From what I understand, he had his name legally changed from ‘Bruce’ to ‘Caytlin’ (or however it is spelled). I’ll respect a legal name change, but nothing in the world can make me call him a “she”, because I’m not willing to deny reality.
Amen!
They can keep their garbage competitions and shameless commercialism promoting communism for all i care.
Looks like a career in athletics isn’t going to be as profitable as it used to be soon.
I must admit I’ve been watching a lot of old college football games on YouTube lately.
What made college football so great is mostly gone now.
3- The one in the picture is only American athlete who protested that i know of. NBC tried to make her a star- she won a bronze medal and it was interview after interview with her. The American woman who destroyed the competition and won the gold medal in the discus? They gave her 50 seconds of coverage.
The only thing I watched a little of was Golf, because it was on the Golf Channel and the coverage was like any other golf tournament (aside from a playoff for 3rd place). Golf is the only sport I watch at all these days.
The Olympics rating failure is really part of a much larger national trend against traditional national shared events. The ratings for awards shows, sports playoffs, streamed music events, and political hearings at all time lows.
The common theme among all these is their inauthentic, dumbed-down, and overproduced presentation style all designed to sell ads and bamboozle sheeple. What people are yearning for is some kind of authentic experience that matters.
People are tired of being spoon fed various versions of “The Truman Show” which was based at its core on a lie.
Yes, college football used to be a legitimate fan experience. It felt a lot more grassroots and genuine compared to pro football. However, the NCAA went the way of the NFL.
