It took me 3 hours to finally hear this on a replay of a news conference on Fox news. How many Freeper's have dramatically altered their life to work on mindfulness? Am I uniquely naïve for wondering this?

She was the most experienced gymnast on her team. As I understand it - for the others it was their first Olympics.
Her actions gave up a Gold medal for the other three - as well as her own.
She is a No Go at leadership and mentoring.
People would have more forgiving of her if she tried and failed instead of not even trying especially after letting here teammates down.
“Mindfulness” is a side effect of being “woke”. The people of this classification are in continual therapy, trying to figure out what “triggers” them.
You have it backwards. I meant the trainwreck that is the current Olympics, not Simone failing in trainwreck style.
The weirdly “Woke” atmosphere of these games would probably have me departing, as well.
Maybe she shouldn’t have attended. Did this sudden need for self wellness just happen? I heard the audio and quite frankly, she sounded normal-no strain in her voice, well spoken. I call BS. Something else is going on here.
Yes. she Lebron’d and left her team behind for self interest.
I heard her name before but I knew nothing about what she does other than compete as a gymnast. Any competition that is scored entirely by judges isn’t a real sport anyway.

How to Practice Mindfulness
Take a seat. Find a place to sit that feels calm and quiet to you.
Set a time limit. If you’re just beginning, it can help to choose a short time, such as 5 or 10 minutes.
Notice your body.
Feel your breath.
Notice when your mind has wandered.
Be kind to your wandering mind.

Being mindful.
She could have been mindful of her role on the team and of the consequences of bailing on her teammates. She could have played the game mindfully and improved her performance in it.
Our parents and elementary teachers always taught mindfulness.
It was always worded, “SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP.”

WHAT? I was looking forward to her crushing everyone, was proud of her. Felt bad when I heard they had a medical issue (presume an injury).
What the heck is mindfulness, and did this just come up? Meanwhile you got that Russian gymnastics kid with an Achilles tendon injury far from being healed and he gives it all to help his team get the Gold.
When I was a boy, we called this “choking”.
She started off with several mistakes, then bailed.
Perhaps she should have assessed her mental readiness earlier?
