House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has defended Mike Pence after the former Vice President was booed and called a 'traitor' at a Faith & Freedom Coalition event in Orlando Friday.

McCarthy appeared on Fox News on Friday evening and defended Pence after he was heckled by the crowd at the 'Road to Majority'-themed event.

'It is great to be back with so many patriots. Dedicated to faith and freedom and the road to the majority,' Pence had said.

As he began thanking Ralph Reed, the head of the Faith & Freedom coalition, he was met with boos and people loudly shouting 'traitor!'

But speaking to Fox's Brian Kilmeade, McCarthy said: 'Mike Pence is not a traitor'.

Many supporters of former President Donald Trump have turned on Pence after he refused to overturn Joe Biden's election victory on January 6

Insanity; by no sane definition is Mike Pence a traitor. So many people were misled and became crazy about the last election. It is very sad, and it was close. The madness is embarrassing. Right Wing Nuts and Left Wing Nuts are all nuts.

By the way, there is no Kracken being released.

I saw the movie. The Kracken was killed in r the third Pirates of the Caribbean installment At World's End.

The only political matter worth the effort now is to retake the House and hold the Senate in the 2022 mid-terms. Everything else is a distraction, and one may well wonder which spirit or money is guiding those distractions.

The VP doesn’t certify anything. He presided over a joint session of Congress where CONGRESS votes to certify the election results. That’s exactly what they did — by overwhelming margins. The VP has no role in that certification other than to cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate.
