UN chief 'dismayed' by Israeli air strikes in Gaza

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Saturday he is "dismayed" by civilian casualties in Gaza and "deeply disturbed" by Israel's strike on a building containing international media outlets, AFP reports.

The comments came after 10 members of a family were reportedly killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza, and another air strike demolished the 13-floor Gaza building housing Al Jazeera and The Associated Press news agency.

The “gentle tailor” is a combat veteran who does periodic reserve duty. The “peaceful accountant” used to drive a tank. You f@#$ with a tiger, expect to get bit. They should have spent the money on improving the lives of Ghazans, not buying half-assed missiles that don’t have sufficient guidance or range.

They gave AP and Al Jazeera an hour’s warning to clear the building. No journalists were hurt in the making of this movie.

While then why was he not dismayed by the rocket attacks on Israeli positions which caused Israel’s response?

Past the time to do what we should have done before now & get the U.N. out of the U.S. Why is it that they expect to operate in our country yet they pick a Sec. General who is always part of our opposition?

If every rocket Hamas fired had hit an Israeli civilian household, Palestinians would be in the streets celebrating. giving candy to their children, and shouting how great their so called god is.

And by the way, what was the purpose of these civilians being around the leader-dude when the leaders know they’re being targeted?

Geneva Conventions: If you don’t want your civilians hit, you keep your combatants away from them. That’s on the combatants mixing in with the civilians, not on the opposing forces.

In most circumstances it would be time for a serious ground invasion and eradication/arrest of surviving Hamas leaders. Including low level. The problem being, who runs the place. Israel doesn’t want to. Egypt doesn’t want them any more than Jordan wants the West Bank. That was turned down post 67. Perhaps eliminate the terrorists, leave and let the EU and US establish a successor government, that’s been done before. And they’re, actually us, are the ones with the billions it will require. We could send them a couple congress people too to help run the place. I can even think of some mayors who might like the cash flow.

The UN long ago made it clear it does not any interest in the survival of Israel. Hamas has been the wolf at the door long enough and the Israelis are entitled to believe Hamas’ threat to fight to their last breath and let them prove it.
